I had a horrible experience with the store manager Joyna at the Union location. There was a cute pair of shorts that I wanted however the hem on one leg was completely unhemmed. I’ve seen many markdowns on pants so I asked if I could buy the shorts for 5 dollars like many of the items on clearance. She said no and that I could have the item for only 10% off. Since it was only 10% off I didn’t buy the item, however after thinking about it 5 minutes later I went back to purchase the item because I liked the shorts. She then tells me she zeroed out the item so she can’t sell it to me. Sounds like she would rather trash the item rather than TJ maxx making 5 dollars. In addition TJ maxx lost a lot more than that because I was an avid loyal fan of TJ maxx spending quite a bit of money all the time. So the opportunity cost of a my business as a lost customer is actually thousands. She was so rude not helpful at all. I asked to take a pic of the item and she goes it’s an old item so some one would have to return it, it’d be hard to get it. How unhelpful. I will not be shopping here anymore...

I found a furniture item I liked, it was missing parts and did not have a price tag. Similar items in different colors were already marked down due to similar issues. I brought both the item I wanted and a discounted one to the cashier, explaining that I hoped to receive a similar discount due to the missing pieces.
However, the manager had a staff member check the items, took a few minutes, and returned with a fully intact version priced at full value. It felt as though they assumed I was being dishonest, despite my explanation, photos of the item, and the comparable discounted example I had brought. I was wanting to buy a beauty product from the locked safes and I pressed the bottom to let a sales associate know and nobody came to help me. I waited 25 minutes and watched everyone pass by and not help, I am fully aware that not everyone holds a key so I decided to ask the cashier once I arrived at the register. When I arrive at the register the cashier was very helpful and told her coworker right next to her to open the safe and the same coworker was the once who saw me at the section and did not help.
