Halal Boyz Union — Restaurant in Union

So disappointing... I ordered 3 chicken and rice. The guy said do you want fries...I said is it included he said yes (it is a different cost and it wasn't communicated when I asked). I also ordered 1 Philly cheesesteak. Then he said there's a service fee for the credit cards without telling me prior.

Lastly the food. It was so bad. 2 adults and teo kids who lovvvveeee Halal chicken and rice.... COULDN'T EAT IT. They ate 2 bites each and started giving it to the dog. I had to make them something else I felt so bad. The adults we ate 6 bites each out of sheer hunger...and could not finish. The Philly had 2 bites each and the second was to guess the source of the bad taste.

The chicken was bland and a really off color (but not like other Halal vhicken and rice off. More like did you use food coloring instead of the real marinade? The rice was so bland I was concerned this should've been the easiest part to get right. Ithe veg was ok but it was basic too. The red and white sauce which the adluts tried were both REALLY BAD. The white sauce was similar to some mixing water with a little ranch powder and maybe a splash of tahini. The red was vinegary and spicy whatsoever. The philly was just super salty and I like salt but it was overkill . I would've brought it back but ldeal with street parking so I knew I would have a prob getting a spot that time in the day. I am sticking to HALAL...

First time here and insanely impressed. It’s covid season so the interior I’m assuming isn’t as decorated as it normally would be but the food was really good. The philly cheesesteak sandwich was insanely good. I’ve had it from a few places in NYC in hopes of getting a cheesesteak similar to the one in Philly and they’ve all fell short. I devoured this one!

The prices are reasonable; but they do need to be updated on googles menu that’s why I’m posting updated images. I would have posted my Philly cheesesteak but it was so good that I wasn’t able to grab my phone for it once I started eating !! Seriously you have to try it for yourself, the meat tasted fresh.
