Very bad experience. Came here once before but today was really bad. Very Rude waitress got combative when I reminded her she had not brought out pasta salad that I ordered as a substitute for my fries. My girlfriend and I noticed she had a bad attitude from the start but we thought it might improve....we were wrong...smh.
When I brought it to her attention she complained “why didn’t you remind me earlier?” . I explained I tried to but you took too long to check on my table. Then she continued to berate me on the timeliness of my complaint. I told her if she would have checked on us this could have been discovered. She pointed her fingers at me and exclaimed “I’m not gonna sit here and talk with you for 20 minutes do you want it or not? I said yes and then she tried to charge me an extra $8.95 because I went back to the salad bar when I already paid extra for it as part of my meal. When I told her I would speak to manager she said I don’t care say what you want.
Sadly the manager didn’t seem interested in hearing what I had to say. He gave the politically correct answers but his tone and body language clearly displayed he wasn’t on the customers’s side. He even shrugged his shoulder as if to say “so” when I mentioned I’d eaten here before and was appalled and shocked by the unprofessional and rude treatment we received from this waitress. I wish I knew her name all I can say is she an older thin white lady that walks around with a scowl on her face. She always seems like she’s bothered to even be there. Additionally the food wasn’t even good, oily and soggy sandwich, burned fries and most importantly...dirty utensils. You don’t have to take my word for it. Go there and check the utensil before you eat. I guarantee you will find food on the forks and knives and hair in your food. My girlfriend even found a hair in her cheesecake. We couldn’t take it anymore so we just paid the bill and left but we will NEVER be back.
This is my first time writing one of these reviews but this experience was so bad I had to write it in hopes of saving the next customer. Whatever you do don’t eat here if you want a great experience with great food. You will be highly disappointed. Try at your own risk.
There are much better restaurants right...
Read moreFound this place on Yelp while on the road and figured I would give it a try. I ordered a half roasted chicken with two sides, and a cup of soup. I didn't know the meal came with a salad bar, but it was a nice touch. Salad bar had a nice selection and it was fresh and full. Pea soup was very tasty. Now the bad part. My roast chicken was presented to me along with my carrots and baked potato (these two sides were actually quite good). I immediately noticed that the chicken did not look right. Heck, anybody could have seen that it didn't look right. It was extremely hot and had the look of being over-microwaved. The skin appeared to be nuked to oblivion and the drumstick and wing were cooked to a point where they were totally dried out and stringy from the microwave. When I put a fork to the chicken to separate the drumstick from the body it hit me. The smell was horrible. It was a combination of being over-microwaved and being on the verge of being spoiled. I still have the smell in my nose. I pushed the chicken aside and ate the potato and carrots. When asked, I informed my waitress of the above and she said she could smell the chicken from her side if the counter. She quickly offered a replacement, but I refused, due to the fact that the salad bar, soup and sides filling me up. I saw her talking to her boss for a moment or two and she returned to tell me she deducted the chicken from the bill. However, after looking at the check, the "free" salad bar was added to the bill, which I thought was pretty lame. When I paid the bill, the boss gave me a stock-sounding apology while handing me my change. I did not expect them to give me a free meal, but discounting me only $5.00 and charging for the free salad bar was poor customer serve IMHO. I gave my very capable, friendly and apologetic waitress a 50% tip and put the Huck Finn Diner in my rear...
Read moreJust got home from breakfast here with my husband. Very poor experience. Ordered a lox Benedict (Benny Copenhagen on their menu) and the eggs were extremely under done. It’s supposed to be runny due to it being poached but this was completely raw. So I sent it back. The waiter brings back my same dish with two new poached eggs. Basic restaurant 101, you make a new plate. Especially when we are talking about raw eggs now contaminating the existing food. So the waiter must have been new because he just didn’t provide us with any level of good service and so I asked for the manager. She came over after some time and agreed it was the wrong thing to do and now she’d get me a new plate and would even plate it herself. Ok... unlikely but I reluctantly gave it yet another try. Well she stayed behind the counter and left the chef to now redo this plate a third time (which I had red flags about). Fast forward. We never saw our waiter again. The meal was mediocre at best but at least the eggs were properly cooked and we were just kept waiting and waiting. When we finally decided to just go to the counter to pay, the waiter said nothing to us, gave the receipt to the guy at the counter and I was offered no compensation for the experience. They still charged me for the Benedict. Proper customer service would have been to comp at least that plate. I still paid without a fuss and still tipped the waiter slightly under 20% even though the service and experience was awful (I have a heart, and we are still in a pandemic). But the response I got when I said the plate should have been comped and the sheer lack of care from the staff was enough to make me leave disheartened and ready to never come back here again. Many diners to go to in the area. This will not be one I would...
