DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse — Local services in Union

Store in Union, NJ horrible. She was either the manager or assistant manager that does not want to follow company policy. I was told flat out I could not receive a merchandise credit even tho I had the original receipt and the shoes were brand new. Told I had to find something today to exchange or just take my item I was trying to return back. Pretty much stating I was out of luck and take a loss. Company policy states I can have a merchandise credit, when I asked her why she told me differently she just said typically you have to exchange. Zero stars. Pitiful, horrible customer service. Lines are always long because there is never more than one person on the register at a time. They rather talk amongst each other than help people. It was a bald/balding guy at the register who was obnoxious and slick mouthed with his delivery when attempting to answer simple questions about the check out process. He lied about the return policy and didn't want to admit it because he felt dumb contradicting himself in front of the customers behind me. I went there about just a few minutes before closing and the staff took the time to help me find exactly what we were looking for, which was pretty easy because the store was very neat and tidy. I felt bad for being "that customer" lol so I did apologize but Ms. Tracie and her associate Abby were Friendly and very patient as I tried to pull up my coupon at the last minute.
