As we all know there is nothing spectacular about the Pizza Hut on Stuyvesant Avenue but it wasn't the worst. I used to go to this Pizza Hut since I was in middle school (which is about 15 yrs now) but I will never go again! I purchased pizza last month (which wasn't the greatest btw) & paid with my card, never do I tip a person for doing nothing or not providing good customer service! I JUST SO HAPPENED TO LOOK AT MY ONLINE BANK STATEMENT A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER & WHAT DO YOU KNOW?!?!? ....I had charge from them that was more than what I signed for! I called in to find out what was going on & the first female gave attitude & did everything to avoid putting me through to a manager or supervisor until I dished the attitude back. Once she got a dose of my attitude she put me through to Gabriella who said she was the manager which could have been a lie but either way I informed her of the situation & I was told that the extra was the tip that I left the cashier, AGAIN NEVER WOULD I TIP FOR NOT GETTING GOOD SERVICE! So I kindly let her know that I NEVER gave that tip and I did not appreciate an employee stealing from me! She offered the refund of the SELF tipped amount which was going to be given back regardless! That to me wasn't enough, that in no way shape or form changes the fact that there is an employee in that location that deems it okay to self tip. It also is not acceptable to have ppl that are suppose to be in "higher positions" brushing a situation like that off! Gabriella was supposed to reach out to me once she spoke to her supervisor and corporate to give me an update on what actions were being taken a few days later or else I told her I would be looking into taking legal actions. Do you think she reached out to me? NOPE! So now I will be going down the legal road in whatever way I can. To their customers please be aware that they have thieving employees! On July 23rd at approximately 2:15pm,  my Father of whom was dressed in church attire entered the Pizza Hut located at this location and attempted to place an order for me. Due to a slight language barrier, my father handed a Pizza Hut employee (a young man) the phone in hopes to be better assisted with his order; as I was on the receiving end of the phone call.  The young man  rudely said  to me, "What do you want because your Father don't know what to do". I said, excuse me? I am assuming that he realized how rude,insensitive and unprofessional he was being. He then tried to correct himself by saying  “no no no”. I was taken aback so I responded, “I no longer want anything please give my father back the phone”. My Father speaks english, but as a second language. The manner in which this Pizza Hut employee spoke to me about my father a potential paying customer was disrespectful and highly unacceptable. I work as a nurse and understand the importance of cultural awareness, one that unfortunately your employee lacks. I spoke to the manager on shift (a woman) pertaining to this situation, but unfortunately, I did not feel peace about how it was handled. I would like to believe that a company of such great stature would at least provide basic training when providing decent customer service and ensure that it is implemented on a daily basis.
