Latrobe Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Unity Township

This is officially my exclusive stop for ice cream cakes. Hands down, no question, for the rest of forever. First off, Lauree, the manager, is AMAZING. She went above and beyond, to the point of making sure my cake got from her location to a closer location to me on time. I'll set the scene... Autistic son, turning 14, wants an obscure edible image on an ice cream cake. Me, frantic mother, unable to find a single ice cream place that also prints edible images. I called and called and googled places, to no avail. The birthday party was becoming closer and closer... I was losing hope, but then... Lauree came to my rescue. She was able to do this! But, her location was about 45min from me and I'm disabled and can't drive currently. So she had her FABULOUS cake decorator, Katie, make my cake there and they brought it to the location closest to me. That in itself was amazing. Let's move on to Katie. She's also a gem. She went through the options with me to design the cake, I gave a couple of ideas for colors of border etc, two very different ideas (rainbow OR black/red). My kid wasn't sure. Both were acceptable, I said whatever she thought would look best. Well... Somehow she took both ideas, smashed them together, to create the ultimate, perfect cake. My kid was ecstatic! He said it was the best birthday cake he's ever had! They even changed the inside from the normal chocolate/vanilla, to all vanilla for us. Everything was so easy. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly. It was just perfect. I couldn't be happier or more thankful because this cake was such a hit. It just really made the birthday absolutely perfect. The level of actual caring and carefulness and attention to detail and creativity... I was blown away. If you're getting ice cream cakes from anywhere else, you're making a big mistake. Not to mention, the price!!!! I was shocked when I got the final price. With as much customization and detail, I was honestly prepared to pay double what I actually paid. I used to go here every week to get my family the oreo cup confection. Its usually around $20 for my family to get icecream here which isnt cheap. Considering other icecream places in the area. They made my icecreams all wrong so they told me to bring them back. I brought them back and waited in line again... while its 90 degrees out... They told me that they are all melted so I must have eaten them and that they didnt make them wrong. So I got called a liar. I have no reason to lie about icecream. They took the icecreams back through there window which is a health violation. Also i didnt get anything back for any of them.. anyways they will not be getting my family's...

Just want to let u know that Sabrina, who decorated my cake is the most talented person ever! She made a cake of a ring of flowers and never saw anything so beautiful. She is a master at cake decorating and the most sweetest person I ever had the pleasure to talk to. The ring of flowers were so beautiful and the flowers were big and the colors were unbelievable!!! She even made a couple of roses tyed dyed and ask her to please put the picture out there for everyone to see. I will guarrenteed you will buy one. She should get a...
