They certainly do not deserve one star .. I have never been treated so rudely as a customer !!! We had two different orders made in the same car ... we explained to the boy how we wanted it sacked ...The 2 spicy chicken and one mild and jalapeƱos went to my daughters house... I got two boxes of mild ...They did not have boxes marked Spicy or mild only way we wouldāve known is by taking bit of food... I went home to feed my small children and guess what I had two boxes of spicy with jalapeƱos that was supposed to go to my daughters ... because I only ordered two boxes of mild ...So I called her up and try to explain situation and she was completely rude and talk right over me and I kept asking repeatedly could I talk good I talk ...she kept repeating to me no free chicken no free chicken I tried so hard to explain to her but she kept cutting me off ..I called her up and try to explain situation and she was completely rude and talk right over me and I kept asking repeatedly could I talk could I talk she kept repeating to me no free chicken no free chicken ...I said maāam Iām not trying to get free chicken.. I just want mild chicken she said I would have to bring all five boxes back in order for her to change it out I told her I donāt have five boxes because the other order went to my daughters she said once again no free chicken no free chicken !!!! She said your order was right because I did it myself I said the order was right it was just sacked up wrong !!! She could not comprehend what I was saying because she would not even listen to me how disrespectful to treat your customers so rudely is this how Popeyes trains their managers I have never been treated so bad !!! I said maāam Iām not trying to get free chicken Iām not white trash and I live in a $300,000 home ...sheās said then why want go buy you some more chicken if youāve got so much money !!! ....Try explaining something to a foreign person that refuses to listen their culture is totally different from ours they have no people skills whatsoever and very Rude !!! I taped the conversation I will go to the corporate office and to any supervisor over her head and explain to them how rude she was and unwilling to listen to me and unwilling to work with me as a customer ... we are a military family and we have lived in this area for over 16 years we have done business with this Popeyes for years never ever have I ever been treated so badly ... but guess what never again !!!! And this was all over eight pieces of chicken that she would not replace .. from spicy to mild for me !!! Here I am 20 minutes away my kids donāt have anything to eat and Iām having this lady argue with me that we got what we ordered I said yes we did... But sacked wrong !!! And the boxes were not marked why would you not mark your boxes spicy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSummary: If you live in Cibolo, Schertz, or Universal City, you may enjoy the much better service at the Popeyes location in New Braunfels (1145 S, I-35, New Braunfels, TX 78130 ), plus it's a lovely drive. This location would not accept the Popeyes app coupons, even if they had done so on previous recent visits, and unfortunately were not very clear as to why they no longer accept the Popeyes app, which their store signs and advertisements acknowledge and advertise.
During these tough times of Covid-19, I would love to leave a good review. Unfortunately, I can not. While trying to order 2 separate family meals via the offers posted on the Popeyes app (24.99 Family meal 14pc chicken with 2 larges sides and biscuits. 19.99 Family meal 14 chicken tenders with 2 large sides and a biscuit). I had used the app coupon offers at this location simply 2 weeks ago. We were trying to get one family meal for us, and the second one for our neighbors who simply wanted some fried chicken for their Easter dinner and unfortunately who have just started their self quarantine when one member began exhibiting Covid-like symptoms.
This location explained that it was only one offer per order. We understood and tried to explain that we wanted to separate orders and via the app, had the corresponding codes to 2 different accounts. The manager than said that they could not except our virtual codes, even if it was from their own app, and would only except physically printed out coupons. Again, this was puzzling as we had no problem redeeming the app offers 2 weeks prior, but I digress. When asked to speak to the owner, we were informed that nobody! speaks to the owner, only the manager may do so. Now, I have worked in a fast food environment myself, so I truly try to be patient and understanding when new policy changes are implemented. So we asked if there was any way we could please use these coupons, and we were told that if we physically print out the screen shots of the coupons they can accept them. We agreed and began to turn towards home, when my father remembered that there is another Popeyes location in New Braunfels.
Wanting to at least get the meal our neighbors asked for in a timely manner, we drove over to the Popeyes at 1145 S, I-35, New Braunfels, TX 78130 (only a pleasant 13minute drive away). I was a bit dismayed to see a long drive through line, but that is to be expected during these times. We were served very quickly, and they accepted both of the orders per the app offers and instructions. It honestly took less time at this Popeyes to order what we wanted, at the price offered to us on the Popeyes app, than it took us to wait in the drive through line and have their own coupons refused at this Popeyes on Pat Booker.
All I can say is, it is no wonder they only have a 1.5 star...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBy no means is Universal City a bad area, but every time I go to the Popeye's on Pat Booker I feel like I wandered into one. I have lived in the area for over 4 years and this Popeye's stands alone along Pat Booker as the one place for horrible service and bad attitude.
Nine out of ten times when you pull up there is no response on the mic, not even a "I'll be with you in a moment", just silence. Leaves you wondering every time if they even know you are out there. Rarely at any time of day do they seem ready to take your order. There are two women that work there that are friendly and competent, but everyone else acts like you are trespassing into their lives.
I check my order every time, and if it is wrong, or simply missing say... a spork. I'll ask for one and get the worse angry stare back, or they will disappear for 5 to 10 minutes to correct it. Punishment for bothering them maybe? It had gotten so bad one time waiting on the drink I had to go inside and all they said was "Oh, forgot you were out there".
My neighbors have said the same about them, that the employees are rude and don't bother to hide any kind of disdain, and in fact want you to know that you are bothering them.
I put up with this for the longest time because, sadly, I have a weakness for Popeye's Chicken and it is close to my house. The last straw happen recently after I had just gotten a new credit card, and the only place I used that credit card for that month was at Popeye's. Also the same month I got a fraudulent online charge to my new credit card.
Great food though. So...
