Overall, I had a great experience with this program. My instructor was incredible, as well as the new instructor I received towards the end of my time in the CMA program. They both were very knowledgeable about the field. Engaged the class both on in-person lab days and at home during lecture days, making even the hardest chapters seem feasible to grasp. Both instructors were very insightful/ resourceful and never allowed us to perform a hands-on task without us being 100% confident in ourselves and our ability to perform. I appreciated any and all constructive criticism that was given to me. A minor adjustment I would like to suggest would be for students to receive AMCA questions throughout the entirety of the program and maybe small reviews sprinkled throughout the curriculum. The AMCA prep exams only allow you to complete five rounds of the test (for each version) before you take the state exam. I feel as though exposure to these questions early on would have been tedious, yes, but extremely beneficial in the long run. Access to the AMCA practice exams were given to us on the first day of school and we were to complete one every few weeks and show our results as part of a homework assignment. I personally failed every single one throughout the program, even still, one week before the state exam. However, I felt as though I was grasping the material in school and able to apply it to my hands-on work, class time, and class work. Other than that, my experience in this program was great. I have nothing negative to say about it. I am more confident in my skills now than I was at the beginning, and I have to accredit that to my hard work, dedication and my instructors. This program is what you make of it. If you work hard, you will succeed. If you don't work hard, you will fail. Simple as that! I would recommend this program to others who work well in fast-paced environments and who are motivated to kickstart their career in the...
Read moreI didn’t think this school was bad but I thought it could do better. I have nothing bad to say about my teacher and even the new one that got brought on at the end of the course. I thought they were both great and l learned a lot from them. What I did have an issue with was the way the program was designed and didn’t realize it until the last week of school. I don’t feel as though the prepare you enough for the actual state test. I have been to a trade school before and the whole time one of the main focuses is making sure you’re ready and confident with passing the final state test. We didn’t do any practice test question besides the practice test that was give from the exam testing company. Those we constantly failed because we took them through out school as we were learning so me failing them wasn’t a red flag. It wasn’t until the last week of school as I’m still taking the practice test and keep failing am I starting to get nervous. I think the school needs to incorporate exam question through the curriculum in order to get the students prepared. I feel like the school cares mostly about passing there curriculum which is important but I also paid for you to get me prepared and confident to pass the final state test. We didn’t end up reviewing for the test after I brought up my concerns to the teacher. Unfortunately the school doesn’t have any information as in any test questions to help us study for it so I wrote up the test questions from the practice test and gave them to my teacher so our class could have review and be better prepared. I don’t feel as though they have properly designed the curriculum to get you prepared for the state test which is the most Important part, but I did learn a great amount from my teachers and thought they...
Read moreMy experience with the MA program. The class was very fast pace and it is important not to miss a day due to you will miss a lot of information. If you take this course be prepared to have to pay a couple of things out of pocket that is not explained to you before you take this class. For instant your shots record must be up to date and you will have to pay a monthly fee for Quizlets until the program has ended or you will miss out on a bulk of your homework assignments. I was not pleased that the class was lacking on supplies for the instructor to give the full effect of some of the labs. You have to work with a limited amount of supplies. But if you don't mind some of these hurdles and can commit to the program you will learn a lot of information in a short...
