I stayed here for 8 days and had a less-than-stellar experience. I will start with the positives- The evening chef (tall and hispanic) was awesome and cooked AMAZING food. Arie, in charge of banquets and worked the breakfast buffet, was my FAVORITE. She’s so sweet and always made sure I was taken care of, she was so happy and smiled all the time, even at 6 am! Chanel, the hotel manager, was also very nice and she made sure my issues with the hotel were taken care of and compensated me for having so many problems. The hotel room I was in was a handicapped room and it was huge. The gym is also very nice and was well equipped. The breakfast was pretty good for the most part, but the eggs weren’t warm enough, even when they were freshly put out at 6:15 am. The fruit was usually fresh but you can tell they reuse the fruit because the cantaloupe tasted sour a couple of days in to my stay. The entry foyer of the hotel was very inviting and nice as well, but there needs to be a little more dining tables for breakfast. Now the main (not all) issues I had with my stay- 1. Over the weekend I parked in the same parking spot near the entrance and carpooled with a friend so I could keep my parking spot. When I went out to my car on Monday to drive to work, there was FIVE dents and paint marks on my car and I wasn’t parked anywhere near the line. 2. There is not enough parking for the number of people staying at the hotel when it is fully booked, I had to park at Gold’s Gym several times and walk in the rain. 3. About 6 days in to my stay, a random couple walked in to my room while I was there. This is very unsafe because if I hadn’t been in the hotel room, someone could’ve walked in and stolen something. Maintenance came up to check what the problem was and showed me that the hinge at the top of the door wasn’t tightened all the way so the door didn't close all the way when I went in my room that day which is why some random couple walked in my room thinking it was their room. I was also blamed 2 times that it was actually my fault the door wasn’t closed all the way, not that the hinge was messed up. 4. The outlets in my bathroom didn’t work so I had to fix my hair in the hallway. Maintenance came to fix the outlet 2 days later and it didn’t work again that evening. 5. I had to call the front desk and request housekeeping to come up to my room 2 times and then I had to ask housekeeping 2 times in the hallway to please come to my room because I needed towels and my trash taken out. 6. I don’t like housekeeping to come in my room because I’m afraid of getting things stolen, so I had the do not disturb sign up and took it down on the 2nd to last night only to find the next day that housekeeping threw away a bag of newly purchased food, snacks, toiletries, and tupperware containers. The bag wasn’t next to the trash can and was clearly newly purchased full items. Chanel offered to purchase the items again for me to make it right. 7. After a day of being there I had a pending charge of OVER $1,200 which obviously put a damper on my credit card.. the front desk had no clue why and didnt do anything about it. All in all, the hotel was very nice and my issues were taken care of by the last day, but the number of issues I had was ridiculous and I’ve never had issues at any other hotel I’ve stayed in, except bugs which is...
Read moreI checked into the hotel yesterday around 5 p.m. and was initially greeted by a woman at the front desk who, while a bit slow, was genuinely helpful and kind. I appreciated her assistance and felt optimistic about my stay.||Unfortunately, my experience today was the complete opposite. I returned around noon and found myself and another guest waiting at the front desk with no staff in sight—for at least 10 minutes. During that time, the hotel phone was ringing nonstop, and the attendant had even left their cell phone unattended on the counter. It was a confusing and unprofessional scene. She was gone long enough that I actually looked into the back office and on the floor behind the counter bc I was worried for her.||When the front desk employee finally returned, there was no greeting, no apology for the wait—just a cold, dismissive attitude. I had grabbed a snack and asked to check out, and instead of assisting me, she acted as if I was bothering her. She pointed me to the self-checkout machine and gave me an attitude when I mentioned it wasn’t working. Rather than stepping in to help, she insisted on walking me through how to use the broken machine without a barcode instead of just handling the checkout herself. It was as if she felt I was bothering her and I was the lazy one. When I tried to explain that I’d tried the machine, she cut me off, nearly raising her voice as if to say “didn’t I just tell you…” The whole ordeal was crazy. Had she not leveled her tone, I can 100% how that conversation would’ve gone downhill.||Her tone and demeanor throughout the interaction were unprofessional and made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a guest. Even after the exchange, there was no “thank you,” no “have a good day,” just continued dismissiveness.||I remained respectful, but the lack of basic customer service and courtesy was disappointing. A good hotel experience is built on consistent, welcoming service—and this inconsistency definitely left a negative impression. I stay at Hilton often, but this woman at this location will be remembered for how...
Read moreWe recently held our annual women of the church convention at this hotel. The staff were wonderful as was the room. The buffet breakfast that came with the room was great as well. I'm giving it only three stars because the meals that we paid for for the convention we not the quality one would expect. We had 150 people to be fed for the noon meal which was a sandwich, bag of chips and either an apple or a banana. We ran out of food after only 100 had been served. It took almost an hour for the hotel to finish serving us and then most of the rest only got 1/2 a sandwich. They argued that they had made 165 meals the first go round and we must have over-served ourselves. No way! Our banquet meal was supposed to be a fajita buffet. They nicely posted a sign that said please do not come back for seconds until everyone had been served. I'm sure this was a reflection of the noon meal disaster. We were allowed to help ourselves to salad and beans, but were served a portion of taco meat and chicken fajita meat. They ran out of salad and taco/fajita toppings like cheese, guacamole and salsa before everyone was served and did not re-supply the buffet. Friday evening we were on our own for supper and decided to eat at the hotel since our business meeting ran late. They only had one waiter serving a dining room that holds at least 50 and was full. You would have thought they would have scheduled extra staff with a convention booked at the hotel. I had the meatloaf, potatoes and some sort of corn goulash and it was not very good at all. The convention rooms were great and seating and sound systems were good, just had an issue with the food. They also did not allow outside catering, so you were forced to take what they offered. We will not choose them again unless they change their policy on...
