Happy Buddha Cafe — Restaurant in University Heights

I've ordered here a total of 5 x using doordash. The first two times were just amazing that I actually wanted Chinese almost every week. By the third time the consistency of the meals started to decline as far as quality. The first time they forgot my husband sweet and sour sauce. I figured that was a easy mishap let's order again this time my husband sweet and sour sauce resembled soup therefore the quality declined. And my lo mein tasted like plain noodles. Different day let's try it again which was today never again I paid for dinner combinations and receive ala carte meals. There's no egg rolls there's no fried rice and doordash gave me a refund as they did the other two times. I will not order from them via doordash I may go in if I'm in the area but their quality and quantity has declined drastically in a course...

We almost came here for date night a few weeks ago and figured that we would eventually try Happy Buddha. I should have guessed from the lack of customers when we were in the area before, that the food was just okay. The restaurant looked like it had seen better days and the table cloths (even though they are under a glass top) looked as if they hadn't been washed in years.

The wonton soup didn't have a taste to it but I will say I probably had the biggest chicken egg roll. The happy family Entre was okay and glad that we shared because the portion was big but when they brought us the fried rice, I was a little hesitant. It was basically regular rice tossed in soy sauce. When I was playing around at home I think I made better fried rice then this. In all, I will say that I doubt...

Located a strip mall, this is a very small restaurant, strictly carry out type of places. For those not in the know, Chinese restaurants are the only ones open for X-mas and they were very busy, running way behind schedule. As our order was for Christmas (and it was a big order, for 11 people), our order was one of them, by about 30 minutes. They were truly apologetic about it but nothing can be done.

As far as the food, typical Chinese restaurant fare but really good. No complaints on the food at all.
