Beans, rice, Jesus Christ, Joseph Biden! I’m a local and this is my first time here to say I’m dumbfounded I haven’t been here earlier is an understatement. Bubba’s is the best chicken I’ve had in Dallas outside of homemade. The seasoning and crust are to die for. They have honey on the table which elevated the chicken. Near SMU campus Got 2 drumsticks and a breast which is a kings order. Sweet potatoes were the best thing i got 💯 Sweet tea was herby and not too sweet 👌🏽 I had one yeast roll and 1 cornbread, my opinion stick with the roll. Roll compliments everything the sides, your chicken with honey, by itself. Lemon pepper is such a iconic pairing with chicken and they have a really flavorful blend. In my opinion Hunts ketchup is really salty. I use whataburger ketchup at home from central market. The manager walked me through the experience outstanding woman by the name of Deborah. So so kind. The chicken and dumplings were basically poutine. Fried okra is crunchy and tasty. The apricot fried pie is basically a toaster strudel but not prepackaged a worthy finishing treat. Will be back.

Waiter was nicer to the white guy leaving the restaurant. Poor customer service no smiles and very un personable. I noticed the cashier adding more strips to my call in order which appeared to have already been ready. Food was ready for me upon arrival but I was not ready for what was inside. I ordered chicken tenders and French fries which I thought was pretty easy. Who could mess that up? Bubbas that’s who. The chicken tenders were terribly overcooked and they tasted as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I work in the Hilltop Plaza shopping center and the line for Bubbas is always wrapped around the building so I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Turns out the food was terrible, like warm, and not fresh. Totally over-hyped. The food here is not cheap so I expected to get my money’s worth. It was a waste of money and time and a very unpleasant experience. I will not be eating here again nor encouraging anyone else to do so. Next time, I’ll take my chances and my 20 bucks somewhere else.

033025:Yes, we come here for fantastic fried Chicken and More. And when the turnip greens and the Black eyed peas are spectacular you got to talk about it. The veggies are tasting great! The service is fantastic as always. Because it's a pleasure to come to here. I just wish I lived closer. Last year: I have known of Bubba's for years. I had arrived in the area for an event at SMU so I decided to grab bite before. Bubba's grabbed my attention driving by. I had to circle the parking/block to gain access to the parking lot. A bit of a hassle, but the food and service was well worth the trouble. I ordered a 2 piece fried chicken with beans and ambrosia. The yeast role was fantastic, the chicken was just right, the beans were tasty, and the ambrosia was as good as Mom's Sunday Meals. Thank you Team Bubba's Dallas for making my long awaited visit an excellent experience!

Fist time there was not impressed with anything while waiting in line for my food it was myself and 5 other family members. It's Texas so it was hot as heck outside and just as hot inside which I didn't expect, either their ac didn't work or they need a better ventilation system. Only reason we stayed was cause my sister insisted on eating there for her birthday. After receiving our food we searched for a table being a party of 6 it wasn't easy finding a spot all together the place is a tiny establishment not suitable for children, and your neighbor is eating about 2feet away from you. If your wondering why I gave it 4 stars it's because the food definitely made up for it. The catfish green beans and mashed potatoes were awesome and the dinner rolls gave it an extra umph, my husband had the chicken fried streak and loved it, my son said the fried chicken was moist crispy and delicious, my kids loved their chicken tenders, and my sister also had the chicken fried streak. Their full portions and half portions are HUGE so come hungry. Everyone was happy and full for a moment while enjoying our food we forgot we were in a sweat box. I'll definitely be returning only this time we'll swing through the drive thru instead of eating there. Warning the drive thru lane was wrapped around the building and down the corner into the shopping center parking lot, but I rather eat comfortably then be crammed in a small hot...

It was a rainy night. I was having a hankering for some Chicken Fried Steak. I literally typed in "Chicken Fried Steak near me" and got a suggestion to try this place. It has a drive-thru and since I was sick, this was a particularly good thing. Low and behold, I was really impressed!!!

Good, quality food for a really decent price. Good portions. It has a very old-fashioned country vibe to it. Me and my partner tried the Chicken Fried Steak and the Chicken and Dumplings. DELICIOUS. One thing that struck me is that all the side-dishes like veggies, corn, mash, and rolls all tasted HOME cooked. The rolls were definitely made in-house and not shipped in from some other country and stuffed with preservatives.

The staff was really friendly. I haven't checked out the interior yet, but from what I could see in the kitchen, everything was VERY clean. The staff handling food wears gloves and were insanely polite.

I don't know how you could live near this restaurant and still go to any of the local fast food places for chicken like KFC or Church's. This place it the answer to "fast food with quality".

I'm a big foodie, and may I say that despite the humble appearance and plain packaging, you get a lot of value for your dollar at this place. While not a "fancy" spot, if you just need some good olde' fashioned country-cooking goodness, this is it. I'll definitely...

great fried chicken, tasty crust. Most food high fat and high salt and sugar added. Not "health food". Green beans greasy with bacon grease, carrots and most beans too sweet with sugar added. Good slaw. good rolls. Fast service! refused to give plate with 1/2 mix of chicken and fried chick livers. Would be good choice. although they have other fried combos of fried fish and various cuts of chicken-cannot mix chicken with livers. Liver order is too many for a meal. Did not want al a cart or reduced portion without veg. manager Talked to customer like a tired parent. "Everyone would want to mix if we changed the order, even maybe, like 1/2 order of dumplings with other choice." like talking to a child. Really, Bubbas, what would hurt - ? chicken with livers mix? both are fried chicken. They pick up chunks of chicken from a large kitchen shelf to serve from the chicken anyway. Why can you not cook a half order of livers? ???? Also, Hillcrest has steps and slick floor safety area between ordering and dining area. some people need help getting down the steps safely with trays. Most staff are not ready to help us get our trays to the table. Did you ever see cafeterias with a bell to ring and call assistance to help carry trays to the table? You really need to do something about the slick slippery floors....
