Ez Take Out Burger — Restaurant in Upland

First: The fries were good. Feel free to go to EZ Take Out for those any time though. They tasted fresh and beat out frozen fries (looking at you McDonald's) anytime.

Second: Admittedly I haven't been to EZ Take-Out since it changed ownership and the location on Central & Foothill was still open. So at they very least 15 years maybe? However my husband and I wanted to reminisce and get Bosenberry shakes and fries tonight. We will no longer have the need to reminisce, or rather all we can do is have fond memories of the shakes because that's what they are now. Memories. The shakes we got tonight...I am not a 100% sure they were actually shakes as they literally, in no exaggeration of the word, put soft serve in a cup. And the syrup they use looks an awful like the bosenberry pancake syrup. They aren't mixed nor are they purple anymore. Sure they layer it syrup, soft serve, syrup, soft serve, syrup. But they should probably rename their shakes to sundaes, if the other shakes are prepared the same way. Because that's what they are. The Boba straw doesn't fool anyone.

Edit: don't get me wrong, the "shakes" didn't taste bad. Well, its was mostly vanilla soft serve with a bit of syrup, but we wanted shakes. Not soft serve to be sucked through a Boba straw. Just get a proper shake machine or call the shakes what they are. Or at least change it "drink-able softserve" would be...

So my cousin and I went here for the first time cause we saw such a great post on Instagram.. we were so disappointed, the service was rude. The hygiene of the people working her was so gross for people working with food.. we waited for our food outside by the tables next to the order window and we saw the workers going in and out one of the went to the dumpster with no gloves and touched the dumpster and tossed trash then went back into the the kitchen and started touching food. Since I was near and had a clear view inside thank to the large order window I noticed that the guy did NOT wash his hand or put in gloves he just went straight to touching the food and yea he was in my eyesight the entire time so I’m 1000% sure he didn’t wash or even sanitize his hands. The food was subpar at best but Forsure nothing special. We ate in our car in the parking lot cause it was cold outside we went at 9pm and got our food by 9:36pm. There was a long line at the drive through and there were still people waiting for their food and ordering the food at the walk up window. The place closes at 10pm but they shut off the lights to the outside at 9:45pm and left the people at the walk up order window completely in the...

I used to go to the EZ Take Out in San Diego back in the 90's and remember it having awesome food. I preferred EZ take out over in and out hands down. I was so sad when they closed down many years ago, so I was happy to see one in Upland when I was in the area recently. I raced over there to have dinner and so excited, but when I got there I was so disappointed. The location was tiny and dilapidated and connected to a car wash. It just had a few concrete tables by the dumpster, no shade, and I t was so hot. I couldn't believe how dirty and sad the location looked. I ordered my food anyway my burger was alright but it was missing that great taste that I remembered so much. It's was just alright. I can't believe that after being in business so long a business would be so bad all around. It was not worth the 25 minutes drive out of my way. Please make a nicer location with an indoor with A/C because that Upland area is so hot. Had to give one star because i was so displeased. The young lady at the register...
