Went in today for the Sunday brunch and was very optimistic because my family had talked very highly of the food. We were seated right away and I quickly noticed that they had a lot of variety to choose from. What mostly caught my eye was the tacos with the hand made tortillas. They were good however, the meat was kind of bland. Overall the quality and taste of the food was ok definitely not worth $23 to me. The reason for my one star review is that when the bill came I noticed that they charged me a kid's buffet for my one year old son!!! This really blew my mind because I was never made aware of that they even charge for children this young. If I would have known I would have atleast ordered him his own drink and served him his own plate. My son only ate 2 spoonfuls of rice at the most. When I brought it up to the cashier she said that they charged that price for children 3 and younger which is absolutely ridiculous! I will definitely not be...
Read moreJust had dinner here. My wife ordered the pozole rojo. When our food came, the server brought out a bowl of pozole verde. My wife politely told the server that she ordered rojo and asked if he could replace the dish. Rather than acknowledge the mistake, the server said "I wrote verde". To which my wife replied, that she'd had the verde before and she really didn't like it. Rather than replace the dish, the server then claimed she couldn't have had the verde before because it's a new dish on the menu! (We used to be regulars, it's not a new dish).
After about 20 minutes of waiting another server comes out and rather than replace the dish, the 2nd server then questions my wife to make sure she didn't actually order the verde. I don't know who they hire at Juancho's, but apparently the servers are infallible. Don't eat here if you want the food you ordered, or if you want servers who treat customers with respect.
Worst service I've had...
Read moreWe went around 2 pm-ish. Not very many people and we were seated promptly. My brother and I had the ayce brunch and my parents had Caldo de Res and Menudo. Both enjoyed their soups. Probably because it was towards the end of brunch (over at 3p) some of the items didn't look too fresh. The things that were good and stood out was the taco station and the omelet station. The carnitas at the taco station were some of the best carnitas I ever ate and you can't beat fresh tortillas for your tacos. While I didn't feel like ordering an omelet, the add-ons looked good with a lot of options. An area where they shined was the service staff. Friendly and helpful. My brother for some reason was clumsy and spilled a few items on the table at 2 different times. They cleaned up while being professional and not a hint of being bothered. I'd like to try them again during prime brunch time so I could hit the omelet bar and when the other items I would...
