This establishment is an overall improvement to when Legends had been here before, though I will miss the cherry soda. Chili fries are very good, simple enough, but done well. Ohana burger is decent, red pepper is a unique touch. Steak sandwich is good, hits all the requirements, my only comment is that the meat needed more seasoning, Montreal steak seasoning would go far on this. Lettuce was great, tomatoes were good, roll was very good, and it was a quality piece of steak.
2nd visit got the Tri Tip sandwich and it was extremely disappointing. First off, they cubed the tri tip, it looks like high quality dog food this way, second they use the hamburger buns on it. My sandwich was much smaller than the cheaper burger. They need to use a different bun, and why would you cube the meat?!? You get no satisfying bite this way, and when the cubes roll out of the sandwich you have a pile of dog food waiting for you. Zucchini fries were absolutely disgusting, I actually tried 3 and finally concluded that eating any more would make me sick. Though ranch did a decent job at covering up the bad taste.
As for the location, the restrooms, while not immaculately clean were very clean and smelled wonderful.
Parking, entrance, restrooms, counter, and seating were all accessible.
Ohana burger is good, but not good enough to merit...
Read moreThis establishment has been open for a few years, before it was known as Legends. It’s a different owner and a different menu, similar in food items and style. You can find basically anything for anyone. Burgers, salads, Gyro sandwiches, BLT’s, french fries and onion rings. Their menu is expanding, now including more desserts. The restaurant is kept clean. I’m eager to come for a breakfast. My go to in reviewing breakfast joints is to order a bacon egg burrito. Today’s photos show my gyro combo meal. This place is solid!
2nd Review (Update) I came to The Hitch the next day to try their hamburgers. The burger in the photo is called, The Sidewinder. It’s good… IT’S REAL GOOD!!! I ordered it with an extra hamburger patty and cheese. Jalapeños, aïoli spread, and itty-bitty, tiny onion rings, lettuce, and tomato. I’m thinking it’s probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Now I’m getting excited for a third visit… time for a...
Read moreThis was our first time eating here, and we won’t be coming back. We ended up getting the food to go because they only have mostly booths and I’m a big dude that isn’t comfortable. The two tables they have that aren’t booths were taken.
The food to go was not very good. The fries and onion rings are some of the worst I’ve ever had. They tasted undercooked and had zero flavor.
The club sandwich was ok. I asked for it on sourdough and no tomatoes. When I goodness it up it was white bread and had tomatoes. Not a huge deal but still was a bummer. The flavor was ok - not a terrible sandwich but not the greatest.
The best thing was the fried zucchini. They were pretty good and flavorful.
We were trying to go to Legends, but this place took its spot. Next time I’d just drive to upland to go to Legends cause the food is much better. Overall not worth the $30 we spent and we...
