POOR QUALITY, WONāT COME BACK!
First, Iād like to mention that there is a note posted asking customers for yelp reviews in exchange for a free dessert. I hope everyone who posts a good review is genuine and truly had a great experience not just doing so in order to get something free.
It saddens me to see the decline in quality of this place. I remember years ago when the food was so great that I didnāt mind waiting for a table and I even put up with their bad service because of it. We just visited and as it stands today, it is clear that they are cutting corners, they are no longer making the rolls as they are described on the menu, and even worse, their explanation is to simply ācome back another day when the other chef is thereā. Hello??? How about training ALL chefs to keep the same standards?! Doesnāt seem that hard. We paid $67 for 2 super small bland rolls and 2 beers and left still hungry. We couldnāt bare to order anything else. I wonāt be surprised to see more of these reviews as we heard the staff apologize to at least 3 other tables. Needless to say, we will not go back to this place again.
After leaving here, we found Sumo Sushi on Mountain. We ended up getting 4 regular sized rolls (when you order 3 rolls, they give you the 4th for free) plus a bottle of Sake, ALL FOR $65. We couldnāt finish it all so we ended up with lunch for the next day! Hey, at least our...

Upon arriving at 4:30pm we waited 15 min to be greeted, despite the dining room only having 5 full tables. Once our food arrived there were three noticable issues. The first being the Avocado Bomb, the kitchen staff dropped the whole unpeeled avocado into the fryer and served it to us. Then as rolls arrived they were dropped on the table, without naming as the service staff was unable to to identify what they served. Then roll presentation quality did not match the previous visits, including the poor construction of rolls and a missing ingredient in the Strawberry Lemonade roll. When we asked to speak with the manager to let her know about the Avocado Bomb and Strawberry Lemonade roll, she became agitated, shrill, and accused me of being unable to read. Her very loud argument was that every chef makes rolls differently. I told her that as she is the manager I expect her to be professional, and she continued to ask if I could read. This became so uncomfortable that we walked out, and another patron left when we did. They had been seated next to us for 20min without service.

One of the appetizers came out without sauce. Server said sauce was being made. We finished that appetizer 20 minutes later then sauce comes out. Ordered another appetizer for the sauce but never came. Fry cook in back obviously doesnāt know what temperature to fry things in or anything else basic with that job.
Got a cucumber roll. You can tell rice was not freshly made and seaweed wrap soggy as all hell. Got a roll with albacore tuna. I questioned the freshness of tuna to waiter. He assured me it was fresh. It was gray and dry. Wife ate it anyways and got sick later that night. I didnāt eat any thank god. I told an employee my concerns and they said Sundays arenāt good to come. I responded what kind of restaurant claims to have good food except for Sundays?
Iām done with this place. I walked out and gave sushi chefs a thumbs down on the way out. Obviously they donāt know what theyāre doing and they serve recycled, stale sushi. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!
