So we found out about this place from YouTube. Daym Drops did a food review about the “worst reviewed chicken place in his state” which is CT. The food he ordered looked DELICIOUS and when he ate it he exclaimed that he had no idea why it was rated so poorly because it was amazing. My husband recognized the signage and said “hey wait a minute, there’s one of those near us” and we realized that there is one a stone’s throw away in Upper Darby. We live less than 5 minutes away, so we ordered Gangnam Style Chicken, honey garlic chicken, and salt and pepper chicken as well as 2 orders of fries. Well it was DELICIOUS! Finally a place to go near us that isn’t just average at best. Some of the reviews for the Upper Darby location mentioned slow service, but we called ahead and our food was ready at the time it was promised. We will definitely be back and I’m so glad that the people of Connecticut were wrong about this chain. According to their packaging they have locations in 57 countries yet I had never heard of it at all. Well I’m hooked now and can’t wait to get more! The fries are just ok but I don’t care because the chicken is amazing so that doesn’t make enough of a difference to me as I didn’t come for fries, I came for chicken. I wish I had pics to share but we ate it all in minutes and strongly considered going back...
Read moreA beautiful new addition to area. They have lunch options and regular meal which is either 10 wings as the meal or 6 wings and a side for the lunch. (Be sure to add a side dish when ordering a meal). I ordered the secret spicy and the honey garlic. I thought I could eat it all but after just 6 boneless wings I was done.
These aren't your typical boring tiny popcorn like chicken. No the boneless wings are large delicious mouth watering mouth full bites. For me it took about 3 bites to finish 1 boneless wing off.
Expect to pay $10 per meal but well worth. This is Korean style food was satisfying and you can taste the careful preparation it underwent. I'm looking forward to brining friends, family and coworkers to this nice little place. I'm glad it doesn't have annoying crunch like churchs or kfc chicken. That soft crunch is all I need.
The only negative is the doorway. Although beautiful inside, during the winter a cold draft can be felt whenever the door is opened even if you're at the back of the store. To the employees there, be more excited when a single customer comes though and ask for referrals. Hand is cards to give out. You all have something special and amazing there and I will be back. I hope you have a long successful run here in...
Read moreI’ve lived in Philadelphia and Delco all my life and loved Korean Fried Chicken since it was first introduced to me at Cafe Soho in Cheltanham. I’ve had some places come and go. I still frequent Soho and will goto Chinatown’s BonChon to get my fix, but I’m happy BB.Q is here in Upper Darby. It’s not just convenient because if location, the chicken is fresh, crispy and very flavorful. I ordered the the soy garlic wings and the wings of fire. Because of my busy day, I wasn’t able to eat them right away after picking them up. I was pleasantly surprised when the wings were still very crispy. Something that I wasn’t used to with other restaurants. The pickled radish was crunchy, sweet, and sour. The wings of fire were just right in spice to not be overly spicy, but not lacking punch. All in all the food was great, and I can’t wait to bring my friends over who love the idea of having Korean fried chicken in our backyard. Keep up...
