I recently visited Kurinji Dosa, expecting a great experience based on what I’d heard, but it turned out to be incredibly disappointing. I ordered a dosa, hoping for something delicious and well-prepared, but what I received was a disaster in multiple stages.
The first dosa arrived undercooked—half raw and barely edible. I asked them to correct it, but when the second dosa came, it was completely different from what I ordered, missing key ingredients and flavors. I gave them yet another chance, hoping they’d get it right, but the third dosa they brought was again incorrect, incomplete, and poorly made.
By the fourth attempt, they brought me a cold dosa that seemed hastily put together and lacked any of the quality or care I expected. Rather than making a fresh dosa to fix the problem, they kept serving me the same underwhelming dish, recycled in a way that felt careless and unprofessional. It felt like they weren’t even trying and, honestly, like they were doing it intentionally at that point.
The whole experience was extremely disappointing. I went in with high hopes, but the service was frustrating, and the food quality was far below even basic standards. I wouldn’t recommend Kurinji Dosa if you’re looking for a place that cares about its customers or...
Read moreI've ordered takeout from Kurinji a total of 4 times. The first time we ordered, it was amazing! We always get the same thing - butter chicken, saag paneer, mango lassi, and garlic naan. The other two times that we ordered, it was somewhat of a hit or miss - either the spice level was off or the order was incorrect. I ordered takeout today and got the following - vegetable samosas, saag paneer, garlic naan, and mango lassi. I ordered ahead of time, and the food was ready by the time I arrived. Today's meal was amazing! It definitely satisfied my craving that I've had for a while. The saag paneer was creamy and had tomatoes featured on top (which I've never had before, but it added a nice texture difference). The vegetable samosas were so filling, even though there were only two, and was warm. Probably the best samosas I've had! The mango lassi was refreshing to top off the entire meal. The one thing I wish was different was my garlic naan - unfortunately, it was cold but still good. Will definitely...
Read moreWe recently had them cater for our son’s wedding welcome party at the Alloy hotel. Was very nervous with Indian food catering since all items taste the same with the same masala in most Indian restaurants. They did a fantastic job with the food that was cooked on site in the hotel kitchen. The appetizers (wide selection) were excellent and especially the chat stand with a variety of pani puri, dhai puri and Bhel Puri and not to forget the cool mango lassi to compliment the various other drinks. The main meal was unique with a southIndian flavor with no garlic (on request) and the flavors were not the same masala in all dishes. The butter chicken and lamb dishes were a big hit. The desserts (3 different ones) were very good and especially the young and old alike devoured on the gulab jamuns. Overall the service and food was excellent and will highly recommend talking to the owner Karthik to get things going. Got value...
