Pizza was good, not great and not even close to a NYC pizza. I wouldn’t say they are the best in the area, let alone in Montgomery county. Crust was slightly chewy, but light and a nice color. Sauce was slightly acidic, no noticeable seasoning in taste and not overly sauced on crust. Cheese was not the best quality and you can always tell by the amount of oil coming off or showing up. Had to use a paper towel to blot up excess oil. The amount of cheese use was nominal. I compare pizza from several places over the course of my lifetime. In regards to what other pizza places I consider better would be Pizza Box in Ambler and San Remos in Brooklyn. The final criteria I base on pizza is price. Now if the pizza is hands down unbelievably delicious, then I dont mind paying the extra price. Maple Glenn Pizza in my opinion can’t justify the exorbitant cost of a pizza. I got a half plain/ half pepperoni that cost $20.50. Some place like Pizza Box charge about $3 less and give you a 10% coupon to save off your entire order. I have not had any other items from Maple Glenn pizza. Read moreI work across the street from Maple Glen Pizza, so we get their food quite frequently- their grandma’s pie is an absolute favorite, and their cheesesteaks are legit. Especially their garlic bread cheesesteaks. Great curly fries, too. Are they the cheapest? No, but they are consistently delicious! Tonight, I picked up our grandma’s pie in the pouring rain, and proceeded to load it into my car- where it promptly slid off the seat where it was balanced and splatted on the mat in my footwell. Before I could even finish yelling about my cursed luck and scoop the ruined, gravel- and dirt- bespeckled pie back into the box, someone had run out after me to say that someone had seen what happened from inside, and could they make me another pie or get me some slices to go? I consulted with my spouse, who agreed it wasn’t worth the risk of biting on a rock, and they remade my pie while I went back to my office to make a few phone calls. If that’s not the kind of customer service that inspires loyalty, I don’t know what is. Thanks so...
