Place looks nice and staff is very friendly. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone has trained the staff on how to actually use their nice espresso machine or make drinks. I didn't try their food, but I saw some other people picking up their orders from the counter and it looked really good.
I ordered a caramel macchiato with half the amount of syrup they normally use ("half pumps") because my partner doesn't like it too sweet. I watched the employee make the drink and they were running low on one of the syrups so she just opened the top and poured a bunch in eyeballing it. Of course it ended up being too sweet, my partner said it tasted like sugar water. We ended up throwing away the drink.
I ordered a skim latte, and one thing I noticed is when they have to steam the milk they just put the carafe under the steam wand, turn it on, and walk away and start preparing other drinks. They'll come back to the machine sometime later turn it off, and it's basically a different amount of time for each drink depending on what they're doing in between. My drink also tasted like basically milk could barely taste any...
Read moreI recently visited Coffee Den and was thoroughly impressed! This place is a definite 5-star gem, especially if you're looking for quality and value.
I ordered the Sausage Egg and Cheese on an English Muffin, and it was great. For the price, this sandwich surprised me compared to Starbucks, Wawa, McDonald's, or Dunkin'. The flavors were on point, and it felt like a genuinely well-made breakfast.
My drink of choice was an Iced Vanilla Latte with light ice. It was great, rich and flavorful. I did notice it wasn't quite as cold as I usually prefer, but I think that's entirely on me for requesting "light ice" and them taking it super seriously, which is actually a testament. Going forward, I'll just ask for a normal amount of ice. While the coffee might be a tad more expensive than I'd ideally like, the quality makes it worth it.
Beyond the food and drink, the store environment is fantastic. They have tons of space, especially in the back, making it a comfortable spot to relax or get some work done.
Coffee Den is now officially on my go-to list. Highly recommend...
Read moreStopped here for the first time on my way back to work after lunch today. I immediately noticed that it has SUCH a cool vibe! After checking out the menu, I settled on cold brew and was pleased to find out they have more than just the regular old "Sugar-free Vanilla" standard offering for a sugar-free option. I had a nice chat with the 3 ladies behind the counter and was super excited to hear that all the smoothies are made from real fruit and not just a smoothie base with a bunch of junk in it. I will definitely be back to try one.
My cold brew was everything I needed on a hot Friday afternoon when I got back to work. :)
Thanks so much for a great experience and a new small...
