While waiting to be seated, I observed the wait staff (this morning, four teenage girls). Their priorities were socializing, using a cell phone, and talking amongst themselves rather than focusing on busy and crowded patronage.
Unprofessional behavior: lack of attention to customers and lack of urgency, lack of patience as well when waitress gave us little time to view menu. The waitress returned to the table less than 2 minutes after being seated (wet and dirty table top as proven by wiping down with napkins and left with brown/yellow moisture) where my companion and I did not have a chance to browse the menu or get settled.
We were not greeted nor explained any details of the establishment, such as asking if we were new or had any questions.
Food is the average American breakfast type—nothing to write home about but not unsatisfactory. Prices are within the middle range of breakfast-type foods. Service overall could be significantly improved, in my opinion. Maybe bring in a more experienced service professional to set a standard to improve turnover at tables and customer service interaction.
Serving staff placed toast directly on top of the toaster (was it cleaned previously?) and then onto plates. Food handling?
In reading the previous review about just receiving a cup of coffee and no further service, I can see where the customer is coming from.
A little patience is required when busy to be seated and served—a slight, quirky breakfast place-type feeling.
Customers take note: cash only, no visible ATM onsite. Parking is not clearly marked, and...
Read moreWish I could give this place a good review, but didn't get to eat anything except for a cup of coffee, which was good. First, there is no signage on the building to find the entrance. Once inside, we stood at the door for about 10 mins with 3 waitresses looking at us repeatedly, but no acknowledgement. Finally, 1 looks at us and says, oh you can sit there. Mind you, no signage to say wait for seating or seat yourself. Then, she comes over takes our drink order, gives us mats and silverware and leaves. She was very pleasant. When she brings back our coffee, she is standing there apparently waiting for our order and then says, "oh, do you need menus?" I say, "yes, it's our first time here. " unfortunately, after she brings back the menus, we proceed to sit and wait for 20 mins, watching other tables that are just sitting and are apparently regulars (greeted by name) get waited on. The same waitress looked at us 3x but never came back to get our order. And even as we left after leaving money on the table for our coffees, not a word said. I would have loved to try the food, but the...
Read moreThe food is great but the service is terrible. The first time I came with my daughter and my 2 boys. We had to sit at the counter which is not a problem at all. The waitresses were miserable from the minute we walked in. When she brought our food she slammed the plate on my 4yr old sons hand, which is on the spectrum, making him scream in pain and she didn't apologize. The seconds chance I gave them we didn't receive our toast that came with our meal even after asking 2 time for it and my son didn't get his whipped cream and strawberries on his pancakes that we ordered but we got charged for it. The one with the dirty blonde hair and my experience inspired me not to come back and to spread the word. Then when I paid she said aloud "wow! $5 tip off of $45! Way to see you never!" Mind you that we didn't receive all of our food but paid for it and I handed her $52 for a $45 bill. That was my second chance and I got the same end result. I don't recommend it. This is based on my 2...
