Let me set the tone. I am a native Philly city girl. Born and bred in the city of brotherly love, so needless to say I am very particular about my cheesesteak and have my favorite cheesesteak spots. I tend to be very apprehensive about finding a good cheesesteak outside of the city limits, I promise I have valiantly tried, to no avail... One day my husband and I were riding past Guiseppe’s, we ride past frequently and he says I want to try that place, so I looked up the reviews, saw mostly glowing reviews and quite a few mentions of how great their cheesesteaks were. I was skeptical because sometimes reviewers fail me but last night, I decided to give them a try and. OMGGGGG, THIS CHEESESTEAK IS IN MY TOP THREE. I’ve been eating cheesesteaks my entire life and this one is really special.
In order for me to do a proper assessment, I ordered one for lunch the next day (don’t judge me) and bye jolly gee, within a day, after tasting it once while sleepy but hungry and once fully awake with awake tastebuds I can unequivocally say, this is a top tier cheesesteak. For my finale, I called my husband and said you have to try this, so he and my son split a cheesesteak and some pizza. My husband said when he picked up the order the man at the counter asked him if anything was wrong because he noticed I had ordered earlier, my husband assured him nothing was wrong and that I just wanted them to taste the cheesesteak. And guess what we all concurred that this is neck and neck with our number one place in the city. What a delightful find, so close to our house. Now we don’t have to take a 30 minute drive to get a really good cheesesteak. We are definitely happy to become return customers. And yes, the pizza was good too. 😀
In conclusion, the other reviews about the cheesesteaks...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Giuseppe’s for nearly two years and always enjoyed bringing my family here. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit 8/16/25, I can honestly say I will not be returning.
After our meal, already in our vehicle the owner approached us accusing my two kids — my son (18) and my daughter (16) — of stealing a salt and pepper shaker from the table. To make matters worse, this accusation was repeated by the waitress, as if it were fact. As a parent, I know my children, and I know they would never take something that doesn’t belong to them, let alone something as small as a table ornament, and especially not in front of me.
What upset me the most was how quickly they jumped to accuse my kids without any proof or even giving us the benefit of the doubt. After supporting this restaurant for so long, it was disappointing and hurtful to have my family treated this way. I expected a family-friendly environment where customers are respected, but instead we were made to feel uncomfortable and wrongly judged.
I’m not writing this out of anger but out of genuine disappointment. This experience left a very sour impression, and I cannot see myself coming back. Respect works both ways, and unfortunately, Giuseppe’s has lost my trust as a customer. Here is a picture of what the ornament may look like it sits on the table holding the salt and pepper with a little pizza man holding a pizza. After this experience the Tip I gave the waiter should have been returned to me but I leave things...
Read moreI ordered a chicken cheese steak and a cheese steak on the Slice App. This restaurant does not deliver and as soon as you go onto their website, it prompts you to order in delivery app. After ordering the cheese steak, there was an option at the bottom that says “wrap it up with fries $1.25”. I assumes this meant a small side of fries would come with the sandwich. What was delivered was a cheesesteak in a “wrap” form. I called the restaurant to inquirer about it and get the corrected sandwich. The man that answers said the “wrap it up with fries” was the App and not his menu’s fault. He argued with me that it was not his problem. The restaurant does not deliver and relies on DoorDash and food Apps. All I wanted was to get the sandwich I ordered. The man offered to refund me the $1.25 I paid extra. So a cheesesteak made into a wrap with a small side of fried cost me over $16. The man raised his voice saying that I was the only person with this problem and refused to help me. Never ordering from here again, man had a terrible attitude. $42 for a crappy wrap, cold fries and a man with terrible customer service....
