Old School Burgers Willow Grove — Restaurant in Upper Moreland Township

WILDLY disappointed with my visit here on Sunday. Stopped by for some milkshakes and pulled into the drive thru where we were promptly instructed to wait. No big deal… The very nice girl on the other end of the microphone came back on about 4 minutes later, very apologetic, and asked for more time. There was another car still at the window which had been there since we pulled in so I assumed they were wrapping that order up. No big deal… 5 minutes later the girl returned, again very apologetic and professional, and asked for more time. She said they were dealing with a high influx of orders and she would need another minute or so. Ok. No big deal… 4 minutes later she called out to us and was ready to take our order. (We were at about 15 minutes as I didn’t really start paying attention to time until the 1st time she came back.) I placed my order for 3 shakes and nothing else. I was then told we would need to wait an additional 20-25 minutes for them to be completed. 😮 I asked her to repeat that estimate as I thought I heard incorrectly but I did not. Turns out, she was only providing the time the owner told her to tell us as she elaborated on this. I thanked her but requested she just cancel the order and we left.

Now, I know things have changed and we can no longer just expect fast food to be fast and we have to be more patient with everyone because of the post-Covid climate we are all living in but this was insane. All in, we would have waited almost 40 minutes for 3 shakes which is hard to understand. We had already spent over 15 just trying to order them!!

I have to say that ANY OTHER TIME I have been here I received INCREDIBLE SERVICE and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS burgers, fries and shakes. This is the reason it was easy to be patient up front. I will surely return to this establishment as their product is top notch but this was a very disappointing experience.

Things happen and it’s not always controllable so I understand. I hope whatever was going on Sunday was an anomaly and everything will be back to normal in the future. I am already looking forward to a double Blues Brother and some Jawn...

These good reviews have to be fake or something. I had high hopes for this place. The burgers arent good. They're not terrible but for the price they should be waaay better. The burgers rate somewhere between McDonald's and 5 guys. It's the kind of burger you get from a pizza joint not from a place that literally specializes in burgers. It's greasy and the bun is trash.

The fries were cold. Not just "not hot" they were cold. My wife's burger was suppossed to come with lettuce and tomato and didn't. Not a big deal and normally not worth mentioning but I felt like I should include everything. The hot dogs are just boiled dogs nothing to report.

We ordered 2 burgers, 3 hot dogs, 3 orders for fries and 4 drinks. Total was 70 dollars. Seventy. Dollars.

I don't think there was a worker over the age of 17 in the whole place, no hairnets, no gloves and atleast 30 Flys flying around the place. We ate in but probably should have just eaten in the parking lot. The inside is not clean at all. I'm not saying it was disgusting but it could definitely use a good cleaning.

Got a chicken sandwich from this place and found a hair longer than my forearm in it when I bit into the sandwich. The staff have no hairnets, no masks and no business serving the public. This is what you get when your employees are children. And I thought BK was bad... As for Old School's corporate response... not one word about hairnets, gloves or masks.... It's 5 months later and I need to pick up lunch for my boss. He sends me to old school. I go inside. Not one person is wearing a face mask.The girls have long hair past their shoulders and not one was wearing a hair net. The cook has a beard and no face net, let alone a mask. The only one wearing gloves was the girl working the register. When I originally wrote this review the store responded by calling it a mistake and offered me free food. This mistake has been going on now for 5 plus months and is still not rectified . I don't know how the board of health has passed you by but hopefully they get a load of this review.... I made the mistake of giving you one star for service, now I'm removing it. And why on Earth would you think I would ever accept free food from a place that shouldn't even be...
