Have lived in Huntingdon Valley for 18 years and rarely get pizza for take out. I decided to try Randazzo's since it is so close to my home, and it was a hot day to cook. Ordered a large, thin crusted, mushroom pizza, paid for it and returned 15 minutes later to pick it up. Never bothered to look at the receipt when I paid for it. Brought the pizza home for my husband, a couple of friends and myself. It was not edible. All four of us could not eat it because it was so salty. I suspect they use a commercial red sauce, because I cannot imagine any sauce made from scratch at their restaurant loaded with so much sodium. Threw the pizza out. When I finally took a look at the receipt in the amount of $16.95 for the pizza, I was astounded. Have bought commercial, frozen pizza (Tombstone) in the supermarket for $3.99, added a little of my own homemade sauce and extra mozzarella cheese and fresh mushrooms, and voila! Better than what I just threw out! Don't waste your money. Also, if you look at most of the 5 star reviews, they are several months old and even a...

I am a pizza scientist. I have obsessed over flour hydration ratios; I have sought out the finest fresh mozzarella; I have crushed San Marzano tomatoes with my bare hands. I know what I like and I know which flaws can ruin a pie.
I am rarely compelled to write a review because it takes a lot of time and I am super pretentious. This pizza deserves it. Randazzo's has become my go-to pizza parlor.
I used to like Giuseppe's, but the cheese always slid off and the grease is too much. I tried Taormina's and ended up with a bone on my slice. Randazzo's has the best flavor and best crust I have sampled. This is how I imagined the pizza in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tasted, or what I think the elitist New York style slices should taste like. I really think Randazzo's is that good.
Mileage may vary! But I'll be damned if they didn't earn the tip I left today. Excellent and...
Read moreI rarely take time to review, but I really had to for this place. I am from Central North Jersey, and nothing in the northeast Phila area has come close to the quality pizza from home. I would definitely return. I stopped in with my daughter for a quick slice. We got the buffalo chicken and plain. The crust was amazing - not too thin and the perfect amount of crunch. I have to say the buffalo chicken was one of the best I have ever had. Often, places overdo it with the ratios where the slice will be uncooked in some areas or overwhelmed with the chicken. The finely mince the chicken, and it really made all the difference. It was a...
