Maggio's is very nice. My wife and I really like the atmosphere inside. The food is pretty good as well. We had the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were good. You get four triangles instead of the regular sticks. When we ordered dinner we received a basket of bread with a cup of whipped butter. It was ok. With our dinner we were able to order a house salad. The salad was just lettuce, two cherry tomatoes, one cucumber and some carrot slivers. I guess pretty typical for a house salad. The blue cheese dressing was not good. It is really watered down and not very blue cheesy. Dinner made up for everything else. We both ordered the "Rebecca". Rebecca is basically chicken parmesan with garlic spinach and four cheeses on top instead of just mozzarella. It definitely tasted fried but was amazing. A suggestion would be to ask for the two pieces to not be placed on top of each other so that you get spinach and cheese on both pieces instead of just on top of one because the pieces are stacked. We were also able to get true angel hair pasta which was good. You will need to ask for extra sauce though. Overall, this is a very good Italian restaurant. Not only was our dinner very good but a lot of the plates we saw go out around us looked delicious as well. We have a lot of other dishes we want to go back and try.

Our waitress was good, though food didn't come out together (more on that later). Now for the food, I got the chicken parm (pictured below) which was awful. At $25 you're charging around the same price as a more premium Italian place in center city Philly. For this price, I expect either similar quality as those places or an extremely generous portion size, this was neither. The breading around the chicken was very soggy, to the point that it made the rest of the dish unenjoyable. I wonder if it was sitting out for a while despite being told they were waiting on it and brought to our table late. This dish should be in the $10-$15 range, and not $15. On to the atmosphere. Maggio's has a sports bar, everyday restaurant, and catering/events facility. Generally, the atmosphere necessary for each of these three things are very different and at Maggio's it feels as though they are at odds with one another. The sports bar feels like a sports bar, the restaurant feels like anything but premium, and the catering facility I've only been to once so I won't comment on that. In any case, these three things are very different and putting them together takes away from the experience. Main takeaway here is that the chicken parm should be more like $12.99.

Maggio's Restaurant is an absolute gem in our community. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious Italian dishes, each one more delectable than the last. I must mention the pasta - it was cooked to perfection and the homemade sauce was simply divine. The flavors were rich and authentic, transporting me to Italy with each bite. The wine selection was impressive and complemented the meal wonderfully. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. I left Maggio's feeling satisfied and content, eager to return for another memorable meal. Overall, I highly recommend Maggio's Restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. The service, atmosphere, and, most importantly, the food exceeded all expectations. Thank you, Maggio's, for a truly exceptional dining experience.

I visited Maggio's Friday night, June 30, 2023 with two friends around 9pm or so with friends for a late dinner after work. Since it was late, we decided to sit at the bar. We had no idea it was karaoke night which was fine. After being seated and placing our order, more people were funneling in for karaoke. While waiting for our food to come out, I noticed to my right an older couple standing at the bar. They had been trying to get the only bartender on duty's attention. He was also the only server for all of the tables. Once they were able to get his attention, the woman was pleading to order anything, even just fries or a pretzel as she was not feeling well. The husband tried as well and explained that his wife is diabetic. This caught my attention as the woman was next to me, appeared to look very pale, sweating and her head started nodding. The bartender just kept saying it was too late to order and the kitchen is closing. As the husband kept pleading, I had his wife sit down. My food had just arrived. I immediately grabbed a small bread plate and scooped half of my platter on it and gave it to her. We got her to eat and after a half an hour, she began looking and feeling better. Her husband wanted to pay for my meal but I certainly wouldn't let him. They both were so grateful. Really Maggio's for denying help when the woman clearly was going into shock? People were getting ready to call an ambulance, she was clearly sick! The real kicker is at approx 11:40pm, the bartender came out with a full hot sandwich for himself with fries and stood there and ate it behind the bar Infront of patrons! It was just made and hot on a plate. Plus, Maggio's has signs posted on the bar area "to be kind to the staff and be patient while waiting for service because they are short staffed". How ironic!! This was beyond poor judgement, rude, inconsiderate, and terrible service! All of my coworkers who are local were in shock and clearly stated they will find somewhere else for now on. What has this...

I attended a funeral reception here 15 years ago. Nice clean place back then, with good food. So we decided to try it today. May 11. Mother's Day. As soon as we entered the vestibule I knew it was a mistake - dirty, unswept/not vacuumed, dried leaves scattered everywhere. They lack the smarts to keep the entrance clean. Once inside, we encountered a group of stressed out employees at the reception desk ; horrible, ear drum breaking noise, from what I'm not sure. I asked the hostess if it was loud music I was hearing. Looking confused. she responded ,with an apologetic grin, ' No, it's just the restaurant ." ; tables crammed together, a huge big screen TV ,on the wall, in, I assume , a sports bar right next to the restaurant. Open space, no wall between the restaurant and the loud noisy bar atmosphere. The help greeted us nicely till they found out we had no reservation ; then proceeded to ignore us, acting like they were doing us a favor , while nervously running around like chickens without heads looking for a table. THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST ATMOSPHERE OF ANY RESTAURANT ANYWHERE !! . Just being in the place for two minutes causes major anxiety and a panic attack. BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS - READ THEM FIRST. Save yourself the time and energy of even trying it, and especially SAVE YOUR MONEY $$$. Says online $20 to $30 a person. I wouldn't give them a lead nickel. I can imagine how bad the food is. In my opinion, booze is their main $$$ source of revenue. Restaurant just the sideline. Their online alcohol menu is as long as the Encyclopedia Britannica. We walked out, never to return. Oh, BTW, I called first to find out if they were crowded. and the man who answered was really rude. Didn't even answer the phone properly. Just picked up and clicked on hold. I had to ask him " is this Maggios ?", to which he sarcastically responded, " yes and what can I do for you?", implying I'm an idiot to be phoning them. AVOID MAGGIOS !! AWFUL, LOUD. SMELLY....

I can not say enough good things about this restaurant and the amazing staff! Thank you all so incredibly much for taking care of my family and I on Wednesday. My father passed away and we had his funeral brunch at maggio's afterward. It was absolutely wonderful the food was incredible as always. Oh my God the peanut butter pie was my favorite 😋. That was the one dessert that there was none left at the end I would have so taken The Leftovers home! I was so bummed. They had us in the front and it felt like it was private. We opted to do the taste of philly Sam and Lewis organized it for me completely on line over email everything went perfectly. My father may he rest in peace would have absolutely loved it. All his favorite things! Stromboli, cheesesteaks w. Toppings, hoagie's, fries, tastykakes, soft pretzels. I'm probably missing something lol there's just so much food it was so wonderful. We also opted to do the upgraded dessert bar which I highly recommend there was the peanut butter pie, cheesecake, chocolate cake, tiramissu. Everything went so quickly that was probably the best thing That we did. Our server Brian was amazing so sweet can't say enough good things loved him! Everything came out hot! We didn't have to worry about anything which was Super great especially because guests were coming before we got there since we got held up at the funeral home.Though they were able to start eating no problem the seating was amazing.I was worried because we ended up having a lot of people who did a no show they said no problem they packed up leftovers which was amazing! There was tons of leftovers! Lots of food I never had to worry about not having enough. I definitely look forward to another event with them and I will tell everybody how great they are. Thank...
