Like others, it is a shame to write a negative review. We usually go for lunch. The food is very good and the service as well. This Friday night we walked in to a line. We asked if they were doing take out. All replied yes. We walked up front and informed waiter we were a party if 3 as there was no host/hostess. He said someone would help us. After 5 minutes and no help, I recognized the owner and stated we would be a party of 3. To my surprise, he ignored me and looked through takeout orders. Seeing 3 vacant tables, we sat down and waited for service. The owner marched to our table and asked if we had a reservation and we replied no. His rude reply was, "So you decided to sit yourselves?" He stated we needed a reservation for a table. We apologized and asked how long a wait. He replied 40 minutes. As I was asking my family if they wanted to wait, he basically said for us to leave. Sadly, they have lost this regular customer and shame on him. My son, who is in the restaurant business in NYC said that a customer should never be treated this way. I agree and will let my friends know about this experience. Shame on this owner/manager. You simply do not treat customers, especially regulars like this. There are plenty of other good restaurants and we will be sure to spend our...
Read moreWe get take-out from them at least once a week. For South Jersey Chinese & Japanese food, its good. The sushi is good although I don't eat a big assortment of it. The chinese food they make is what we really like. We ate inside the restaurant once and will probably not eat in there again. Service was somewhat slow and they seemed to not really pay attention to us, even though it was not busy at all. We love their take-out though and that's why so many stars. If you have no choice but to eat in, I would order it 'to-go' and eat it in my car. Also, the chinese combination plates which you can order to-go, you can NOT order them if you eat in the restaurant. That was a little annoying, but over all, again, their food taken to-go...
Read moreGot 3 California rolls, a shrimp tempura roll, a thing of plain lo mein, and a large egg fried rice (which was LARGE) for a whopping $47. Each roll was $8, and the food was not comparable to Murasaki, especially not for the price. Shrimp tempura roll had only fried shrimp and eel sauce, no cucumber and avocado like other places, so $8 for just fried shrimp. Rice was burnt with little to no flavor. Lo mein was actually pretty good can’t complain about it. As for the California rolls, they’re pretty hard to mess up so they were good. This is the only Chinese/Japanese cuisine in the area so it’s good if it’s what you’re craving, but the time to drive to Murasaki would...
