Wawa — Restaurant in Upper Township

A+ Wawa has their act firmly together. The stores are starting to all have the same basic layout. I makes a store you've never visited seem familiar. The fact that stores are set up in a more consistent manner, thereby becoming easier to navigate and save time, is a huge benefit. The small self-check kiosks on the check out counters are à handy addition to the mix. If you have all your items and card(Debit or Credit cards only for these machines currently. Cash is not accepted.) ready, using à self check kiosk is the fastest way to get out of the store. Wawa in général has created a very efficient system that just plain works. When customers are able to shop with more ease at a familiar store, they spend more money and are more polite to the staff and one another. It's common, if not expected, to open and hold entry and exit doors. The staff is well traîned, usually fast, kind and helpful as a rule. In New Jersey, This company has succeeded in every possible way. They've even created their own culture. Wawa will be here...

I love Wawa in general but this review is specifically for Kelly. She's the best cashier and makes the regulars feel seen. She goes out of her way to remember people, and that feels rare these days. I've seen her have a ton of personal connections with locals, asking about their kids or their jobs, it does feel like she genuinely cares about her customers. Kelly is also great at reminding me of whatever deal is happening on the app and has saved me quite a few bucks!!

I usually stop here for lunch, dinner, and/or gas. I stopped today and the gas guy broke my gas cap. Didn't offer to replace it at all. Just stuck it back on and said" it'll still work". Got out and checked, it fell right off. Had to go pay $18 for another one at the closest auto store. Last time I stopped for gas, the gas guy said my card was denied after I just used it inside.
