We make a trip to The Village Kitchen every year—both on our way to Cape May, NJ and on the way back—and it never disappoints. The food is consistently outstanding, and the service is just as excellent. This cozy spot is a hidden gem for breakfast and lunch. The chipped beef, in particular, is absolutely outstanding—easily one of the best we’ve had. Highly recommended!

First time visited with coworkers last time ever picking this place first we decided to walk over from the ShopRite in the rain we had one person that barely could not walk but we wanted to celebrate another co-worker leaving to go to college so this is a big thing for us when we get there soaking wet they were packed which shows that it could have possibly been good food but the lady at the desk was highly rude yelling from desk that we had to stand and wait out side in the pouring rain what kind of restaurants do that!!! there was enough room to stand and wait for our table but worst and last experience there they will not be seeing my money we walk over to momma mia very great service server walked away with atleast $150 in tips she well deserve this your loss village kitchen. A local favorite for sure! Every time we're looking to get breakfast or brunch out we can no longer think of any other place we'd rather go. In our short time here we've already become a local and the waitresses know us, and let us get to our table from the moment we walk-in. Their breakfast and lunch options are always homemade delicious and so quick it's almost like magic. The service is superb, and even with Covid they clean every corner spic-and-span, all seating options (except one on the opposite wall) are booths separated by plexiglass. It's been my absolute favorite place during these dark and cold few days especially, making me feel like I'm walking out of my mom's place after a hearty breakfast... Absolutely recommend it if you're in the area for breakfast or lunch (they...

I'd like to rate this restaurant higher, as our first visit was quite good. However, our 2nd visit a week later was disappointing. I ordered the Daily special, which was Cobb Salad. I was disappointed to learn it didn't come with soup as some specials do. In any event, the Chicken Orzo soup was excellent. The Cobb salad arrived and looked good, but the lettuce was brown and past its prime. The restaurant was busy, so I just fished out the lettuce and put it to the side. When the waitress came to clear the table, she said, oh, where did this come from, pointing at the lettuce- as if I brought it with me. We will try them again as we had 1 great meal and 1 less than great. 3rd...
