At about $300 for two nights I have to say it was not worth it. This place is not just poorly maintained and filthy, it is downright scary. I stayed in room 109. Lets start with the smell. All the drawers were brown and smelled of mildew. I couldn’t even keep my clothes in them. The closet only had 4 hangers and 12” of space for clothes. I was forced to live out of my suitcase. The carpet smelled like it was flooded and never cleaned, and it was not vaccumed. Rodent droppings were found under the bed. The shower had a clogged drain, and there was brown gunk built up on the sides of the tub. I tried taking a shower and had to stand ankle deep in the filth of every stranger that stayed before me. The water smelled and tasted like sulfur. The bathroom floor had a greasy film on it and the carpets in the bedroom were dampened with the slime. I could not walk around barefoot without my feet becoming sticky. The scariest part was when i dimmed the lights and attempted to climb into bed. In this lighting i was able to see hundreds of mold deposits on the ceiling. It was literally hanging from the ceiling along with strands of years worth of dust. I was scared to sleep, fearing that one of the unidentified strands would fall on my face while i was in bed. During the night, people sat outside my door drinking until the wee hours of the morning. This happened both nights i was there. They dod this during the day too, eyeing me up and down every time I came and went. They were beyond loud and boisterous. The first night, at 3am I finally passed out only to be woken up to someone jiggling the door handle trying to get in my room! They stopped when I said whose there. I was too tired to do anything about it. The next morning around 11am I woke up to the owner banging on my door telling me it was time to checkout. I informed him that my reservation was for two nights and he apologized and walked away. It was attrocious. I had very poor sleep and the cofee maker in the room had no cofee to go with it and it was still filled with water and still dirty from the previous guest. The toilet was filthy too. I had to treat the entire room like a public bathroom because that’s what it was like. Couldn’t touch anything without having to wash my hands afterwards. It was so bad, that I couldn’t even eat in the room. The unsanitary conditions and filth made me lose my appetite. This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. The rooms are uninhabitable and there are hoodlums ready to harass you upon entry. Stay far far farrrr away. I don’t post many reviews, but this experience was so bad i had to warn others, this is not an exaggeration. Trust me when i say you do not want to try it and see for yourself. I am telling you. Heed my warning! The department of health should get on this before...
Read moreI dont even believe this hotel deserves one start. I only put one because zero and negative stars were not an option.. Let me start by saying my sons and i have been coming to Ocean City for 10 years. Never in my rume has the condo owner double booked the condo. Well he did Saturday. We had no place to stay since our condo still had people in it.. the condo owner called and booked us a room at Oceanside. OMG!!!!! Let me repeat OMG!!!! The room he booked for $200 last minute had no furniture, no cable TV, and a ton of old airconditioning parts stacked in the corner. Needless to say there was NO WAY we were staying in that room. The front desk said take it or take your money.. I am not even kidding it was a DUMP!!!! He even rolled down a foldup bed for one of us to sleep on.. it had sheets crumpled up in the bed, the matteess smelled, and the guy said it is all you have in ovean city... Now I am good with a 2 star hotel but this place was a storage room he was calling an apartment style room.. may i emphasize again. NO Furniture. Had a tv that wasnt hooked up. A rollaway bed with old dirty disgusting sheets crumpled up in the middle of the smelly mattress..And old air conditioning parts piled in the corner.. needless to say we took him up on his offer to give us the money the condo owner paid.. we had to go to Atlantic city and pay 355 for a room but there is NO WAY I would have let my sons or anyone else stay in that dump. I will say that if the condo owner thought this was a decent fix to a double booking I wont ever ever ever rent his...
Read moreThe first thing you notice is that the walls are peeling, everything is absolutely filthy, the air conditioner is caked with dust, the “headboard” is just a piece of the flooring… it’s terrible. For their “Continental breakfast” you have the choice between moldy bagels with chunky cream cheese or bug infested cereal. Yum. The keycards didn’t work on multiple occasions and EVERYTHING smells. The reason we chose this hotel was because they had a pool however we weren’t able to use the pool because it was overrun with algae (think the toxic green color you normally only see in cartoons). The tile around the jacuzzi was very slippery & due to the hotel’s negligence & lack of proper warning signs my husband slipped getting out of the jacuzzi and hit his head on the tile floor really really hard. There was blood everywhere and he didn’t move right away and I literally thought he was dead. It was absolutely traumatizing. We obviously had leave to seek medical treatment. He had significant blood loss and ended up with numerous stitches. When I asked about getting a refund since we had to leave, they became very rude and hostile and complained about the fact that there was blood on some of their towels. They said we should have just come back after my husband was released from the hospital to finish our vacation. They showed absolutely no concern and never once asked if my husband was okay. In fact, they flat out said “it wasn’t their problem” and hung up on me multiple times. Now they refuse to correspond with me...
