Custard Castle — Restaurant in Upper Township

I think it was opening day. It was 4pm on Saturday may 17, and we were the only ones there. There was an older gentleman in there and he was training the young girls that were working. Both girls were pleasant and friendly. My husband ordered a banana split and I ordered the brownie sundea. The soft serve they put in the banana split was melted by the time we got to the table(see photo) , and my husband said it had a funny taste. As for a banana split, it was missing the pineapple, choc syrup, and chopped nuts toppings. I asked for peanut butter cup hard scoop. But it was just peanutbutter, no peanut butter cups in it. It was good hard scoop ice cream. There were 3 small brownies in it which were also very tasty and soft. We've lived in Marmora for 5 years now and have been coming to Custard Castle on and off since then. We've always like their product and have never really had an issue, until now that is. I guess this is what happens when you hire 'kids' to operate your business, but still, we (my wife went and picked it up & brought it home) 2 different cups and both cups, but especially mine, was not even half filled. Yes, we only got the 'child' size because I have lactose issues but I literally had only a few spoonfuls of product in the cup. The cup was not even half filled. Me and my boyfriend found this place and rlly liked it. So I took my little brother. I was craving peanut butter ice cream and was so happy to see they had it. Asked if we could try it and they said no. So I got it anyway. Was absolutely nasty. Tasted nothing like peanut butter. Let my mom try it w/o telling her what it was and she had no clue what it was. And my mom is obsessed with peanut butter. My little brother got the orange flavor. She said it tasted like the orange on the board walk. Tasted nothing like that.
