I really wanted to like this cafe and support a local small business, but my second visit left me with mixed feelings. I evaluate cafes based on price, food quality, and service, and here's my breakdown:

Price: Unfortunately, this cafe is on the expensive side. Our family ordered an Americano, hot chocolate, iced matcha, acai bowl, avocado toast, and a breakfast sandwich, and the total came to a whopping $67.96. An acai bowl alone costs $18.25, and an Americano set us back $4.90.

Food: The food quality is decent, definitely better than what you'd find at a convenience store, but it doesn't justify the high prices. My biggest disappointment was the acai bowl, which arrived completely frozen and inedible (and by frozen I mean like a brick). It took a significant amount of time before it was even edible, and for nearly $20, I expected a freshly made acai bowl. So, unless you don't mind waiting around for half an hour, I wouldn't recommend ordering it.

Service: Unfortunately, the wait times at this cafe are a major issue. During our first visit, we waited an astonishing 45 minutes without ordering ahead. On our second visit, we tried ordering ahead at 9 am and received confirmation that it would be ready by 9:35-9:45. However, when we arrived, the place was empty, and we were told that the order had just gone through. We ended up waiting until 9:55, almost a full hour after placing our order ahead of time.

In conclusion, my feedback to the owners is that for the high price of food and drinks, customers expect freshly made items and orders to be ready as promised. While I appreciate supporting local businesses, this cafe has some room for improvement in terms of both food quality...

I really want to like this place. It's adorable and conveniently located and the food is good. Unfortunately though, their service is too inconsistent. I used to go in and always order the same exact thing - vanilla latte. On day I realized I was paying a different price every time. Thought maybe I was mistaken, made a mental note, next time I was charged $1 less than the time before. I had paid roughly anywhere from $5.50-$7.50. A few months pass and I give them another shot because again it's so close by. Again I order the same thing on multiple occasions, a special, pumpkin spice latte. Again each time the price is different. The 3rd time I say "I was in here yesterday and it was over $1 less than you're charging me today". Girl says "well that's the price." I can't contest because there's no prices listed, so I pay and leave. I also notice the quality of the drink is very inconsistent. Day 1 delicious, day 2 basically a cup of warm milk, no pumpkin flavor or any flavor really at all. For these reasons I have not returned since. It was almost as if the girls were ringing up the drinks 1 ingredient at a time, but somehow arriving at different totals. Just give things a flat price. It would also be nice to have an option of...

The decor of the shop was very warm and cozy. The employees were very nice and friendly. They greeted us as soon as we came in and waited for us to look at the menu before ordering. The food and drinks were just okay.

I got avacado toast which were just three little pieces of toast with a bit of mashed avacado and a bit of seasoning. The pumpkin bread was good but it would be better if they warmed it for you. The macarons and chocolate donuts were good but not stored at the proper temperature so I'd recommend letting them sit to come to room temperature for best enjoyment. The energy balls were good but the flavor was a little off. I think it just might be I prefer mine made with a different type of peanut butter. My chai tea was bland in flavor but my spouse said his coffee was very good.

I will probably come back when it's warmer out to try their smoothies and other food items to get a better idea of what good...

We live in the area but for some reason, just discovered it a few weeks ago. Great coffee, delicious sandwiches and I hear (but didn't try) the matcha is to die for. We had the Ham and Swiss Sammi and Brie and Turkey with jam. Both very tasty and plentiful. The decor is very inviting and cozy, and the outdoor seating must be nice in the summer. They even have a small free library there. Prices are pretty high, but you're not going to come here every day, so enjoy!
