To the owner: Please give your staff some training on customer service. You should never mistreat customers. My wife went in, craving some local home made ice cream. Once she learned that you don't accept credit cards, my wife told the girl at the front that I (her husband) would Venmo the money (I was in the car with my youngest who had fallen sleep). The girl at the front didn't allow my wife or my 6 year old to eat their ice cream until she showed that the $8.40 had been venmoed (I actually did Venmo the amount as soon as I saw my wife's text but the girl didn't see it). She then told my wife that she needed to provide proof of purchase when she got back. Please tell your staff, no one is going to run off with $8.40 worth of ice cream. So what did this cause? A horrible experience for my 6 year old son and wife. How could this have been avoided? Trust your customers, if you see an unfamiliar face, let them know upfront that you don't accept credit cards (maybe look into accepting credit cards and up your prices along the way).
