China Garden — Restaurant in Urbana

Some places do wonderful things with a steamer - this is not one of those places.

I had steamed vegetables and chicken with a rice side in garlic sauce. Let me tell you, that's -exactly- what you get. Nothing is seasoned, the food is bland as you can possibly imagine. The most prevalent taste is the tap water in which the food is steamed.

The vegetables are frozen bag vegetables, the chicken is completely totally unidentifiable as chicken, and I swear that's instant rice.

I would personally avoid this place...

1st time in the area looking for some top notch Chinese food... ordered vegetable chow mein and got this soupy, over cooked noodles.... the crab rangoon was disappointing and empty. This place is welcoming, friendly, and cozy. Sadly, that’s where the good news ends. Dumplings:limp chicken steamed not fried. General Tso’s Chicken Lunch: White rice was spicier than this.
