Our recent meal at Dubai Grill was everything I could have asked for to introduce friends to Middle Eastern food. The young man at the counter who took our order was patient and funny as we decided what to order. Since my friends were trying this kind of food for the first time, I wanted to be sure that they had a variety of things to try. He was very accommodating, and we ordered two dinner plates with six different sides (you get 3 per meal). The Chicken Shawarma was excellent and took me back to my first street food in Israel. The Shish Taouk Chicken was also tasty, and we all loved the rice that both meals came with as well. Their falafel was excellent and freshly made. Oh, it is best fresh, and it was FRESH. The hummus and lentil soup were also good; there was a warmth to the soup that seemed like gentle sunshine. Our favorite "sides" were the Jerusalem Salad, Arabic Salad, and Taboola (their version had more parsley than I am used to but was still good). The Fatoush Salad, Babaganog (Babaganoush?), and cabbage were also were also good, but our tastes favored the others. We rounded out our meal with baklava that was wonderfully fresh and simply delicious. The service and clean environment helped make it a wonderful experience. I hope to go back many more times because it was that good. I highly recommend trying this gem of a restaurant. You will not only have great food but will also be well-treated by their...
Read moreIf you're looking at Dubai Grill and wondering if you should go, DO IT. The food here absolutely blew my husband and I away, and we are still talking about it mid-week. We stopped in for lunch last Saturday- the space is very clean, nicely decorated and welcoming. Staff is friendly and efficient.
We decided to split the menu item "Dubai Grill Large", figuring that it would give us a good base to try a few different things. This particular item is 3 meats, 4 toppings, and a side of rice. Our meat choices were beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, and gyro. The toppings we chose were hummus, Jerusalem salad, baba ghanoush, and onion. There were 2 different kinds of rice to choose from, and we went half and half. In addition, we ordered the falafel appetizer, and the chai karak saffron. There was more than enough food for the both of us to feel like we were feasting, they really load it up! Their prices are great for the amount of food you get for sure- make sure to tip these guys!
Everything was incredibly delicious, fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. Hands down, this is the best Halal food we have ever had, and we are so thrilled that we have a place right here in our town! We are already making plans to return and talking about what we might like to try next, and our mouths...
Read moreOn the evening of Saturday, May 17th, we came here as a family and ordered three rice bowls and a sandwich. For the bowls, we asked to have them served in to-go containers instead of plates (in case we didn’t finish and decided to take it with us), which was no issue. When ordering the sandwich, I told the server, “Can you please put it in the to-go wrap—we’ll be eating it here though.” It was a bit loud, so I understand if he didn’t hear me clearly. However, when he turned around to grab a plate, I politely repeated, “Can you please wrap it?” He suddenly threw the plate down and snapped, “First you said for here, now to go?”
That moment completely soured the experience. I was there with my mom, and there was absolutely no need for that kind of attitude or behavior—especially in front of customers. The rest of the staff seemed kind and the food was decent, but the way we were treated left a very negative impression.
TLDR: Food was decent, but one server threw a plate and was rude when I asked for my sandwich to be wrapped, which I had initially requested. Unprofessional behavior...
