My husband ordered what he thought was a large beverage based on the menu offering of 2 sizes. He was asked if he would like a 32oz which was not on the menu. He was confused but assumed that was the large. We imagined another size would increase.50 like the difference in the two menu sizes. He was not told otherwise. After receiving my bank charge, and seeing that it was almost a $4 increase- we believe the employee should have definitely mentioned the significant increase making it a $10 drink! I noticed 2 varieties for shaken espresso drinks and being that I have only ever had shaken espresso drinks at 3 other coffee shops that I frequent, all made with oat milk, I assumed it was also. I inquired if it was made with oatmilk & the response was “ you can get any milk that you would like”. I was never told that it was another $1 for oatmilk. I also requested just 2 pumps of coconut instead of the 5 that it comes with, to cut the sugar & harshness of the flavor. It was so overly sweet, I had to throw the drink out. Both drink had minimal ice as the shots had been warm & melted any ice that was in them. I definitely believe that it was just poor communication with the employee. Customers need to be aware of additional costs when placing an order. We did ask to speak with the manager, as we had initial confusion on the cost & when she finally came over she pulled up the order & explained it as a matter of fact & when we told her that we were never told these amounts all she kept saying is it was a size offered in Texas not on the menu. We understand that but we were never told the additional fees. She never offered the price difference refund (we weren’t expecting a full refund), a credit or anything to make it right. $19 for two drinks (before tip) is unheard of… especially the quality of both. Should have stuck to what we know- do yourself a favor and go down the street to The Depot. Never a bad drink, better customer service & they are transparent with all costs- which are...
Read moreJust went through the drive through for the first time since Huey’s recently opened. The workers were all very kind and one of them recommended a strawberry pastry. I ordered an iced americano with cold foam and the strawberry pastry that was recommended. The iced americano tasted fine but not great. It was kind of warm as it did not appear to have any ice in it as it had melted. The pastry appeared to be very underbaked and almost raw. It also smelled sort of like artificial strawberry. I tried a bite but it was pretty rubbery, I’m not sure if it was truly underbaked or if this happened when they heated it up but it just wasn’t good at all. I believe they have only been open about a week so I’m sure they are still figuring things out and again, all of the people working were very friendly and...
Read moreI've had coffee twice here when my all-time favorite shop hasn't been open on Sundays/Mondays. Both times, my small, 12oz coffee was incredibly sweet. The first time, I figured that perhaps I had ordered my drink wrong since it was my first time. So on my second time, I made sure to talk with the person making my order and confirm exactly what went in to a drink. Didn't matter, my drink was still on the sickeningly sweet level, and I usually always get a white mocha with flavoring at other coffee shops. Not only that, but my small drink with white chocolate and Irish Cream was $6!!! If I were to order this at Starbucks, I know it would be less than that, and also Dees Brew, just up the road charges only $4.95 for the exact same drink. Seems a little steep to me for a...
