I live Downtown Des Moines. This Restaurant is on Merle Hay in Urbandale and they STILL delivered to me!! So awesome! Thanks guys!!! You Rock!! I placed my order thru DoorDash, and I asked in the comments/special request space that the restaurant call me if the chips on the taco pizza weren’t gluten free..
The chips were NOT gluten free and I received a call almost immediately after placing my order..
I hadn’t considered what I wanted in place of the taco pizza if the chips had gluten, so I needed a few minutes to look over the pizza menu again before I could make a decision - there are a TON of different pizzas to choose from - so their selection is awesome!
The waitress that called me was soooo awesome!! I forgot to write her name down, but she made a lasting impression on me - which is pretty difficult to do most days.. She was great even just being on the phone!
She told me it wasn’t a problem for me to take a few minutes look over the menu again and then call her back, she said that she wanted to make sure I got something that I wanted, that tasted good, that I would enjoy. …That also met my dietary needs. THAT right there is what CUSTOMER SERVICE is all about!! THANK YOU!!!
It doesn’t take much to do several jobs out there, but it takes an AWESOME person to take care of a businesses customers!!
I wish I remembered her name, because she deserves recognition for her ability to take proper care of a customer!! She was amazing!! I truly hope you have her working in a training role, or supervisory role involving customers! She should be training anyone new that comes in to work there too! I wish everyone at every business could be kind and patient like her!
She could have made me feel like an inconvenience because I could tell in the background things were pretty busy..
but instead she was patient, kind, and respectful and made me feel as if i was the only customer she had in the whole restaurant and that my order was the most important one she had all night ❤️

Read moreI tried Boss Pizza as a highly recommendation from the hotel while I was on a business trip. I'm not saying I will absolutely NEVER go back, but they most definitely will NOT be a strong first choice. As far as the pizza, it was good. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was good pizza. I had "The Boss" pizza. What turned me off about the place was their service.
I tried calling to place my order. The phone went to voice-mail. The hotel then called back, for them to tell her to call them back in about3 minutes bc their phone was being transferes to one of their workers.... I have no idea why they just caught the issue but hey. Called back and in the midst of my order the phone hung up. Then they did call me back at the same time the hotel was calling them back. They had to redo my order. Finally got my order in, thry said it would be 45min to an hr. Ended up waiting to only get a phone called about 50 min later, letting me know that the driver was at the wrong hotel. The hotel he was at was only 4-5 blocks up so it should have taken him about 10 min to get here, if that long. It took him 20 minutes, which I have no idea why.
By the time the pizza got to me it was cold. The pizza was good, but it would have tasted so much better had it been hot. After all of that, I never got an actual receipt to try to expense my meal. So, I tried calling to see if I could get someone to email, take a pic and text it or something, and of course, i was unable to get anyone on the phone because no one would pick up, which they may still was having phone issues, but it was still horrible service. If I had to rate.on a scale if one to ten, I would rate the food a 6 out of 10 and the service a 2 out of 10. The food may have been an 8, had it nit been cold.
With situations like that, offer a discount, provide a free item or something. Try to make your wrongs...
Read moreMy family and decided to check this place out tonight after seeing multiple social media adds for weeks.
We ordered an appetizer platter, a chicken bacon ranch sandwich and a large pizza. When the appetizer platter came out we asked for plates since it was being shared with multiple people. Our waitress never brought them.
30 minutes later the pizza came out,, but no sandwich and again we asked for plates, our waitress apologized and said she would grab them. Another 20 minutes went by and we said to hell with it and decided to start eating the pizza. It was seriously overcooked and the crust was hard as a rock, and called it a loss after 2 pieces.
At this point we still had no plates, no sandwich and no waitress so we decided hell with it let's get our check and get out of here. We waited another 15 minutes for anyone to come by our table and that never happened. My family and I decided since people appeared to be getting service at the bar we would go up and pay for the food we actually received.
After 10 minutes of standing at the bar being ignored by all of the staff coming and going from the bar we had had enough and walked out.
I am not in the habit of posting reviews or not paying for meals but enough is enough. On our way out our waitress who was sitting outside on her phone was oblivious to the fact her customers just walked out the door.
It was a typical Friday night at any restaurant it was busy but it was not slammed busy as there were empty tables.
If the owner or manager wants to contact me through this platform I will happily pay for the food we actually received but we will not...
