Celeste Tea Parlor — Restaurant in Vacaville

From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a friendly smile and the most beautifully appointed tea room imaginable! Soft whites, golds, and creams fill the space with gold and crystal embellishments giving it a touch of romance and elegance.

I was there to celebrate my birthday with my mother and we both were in awe of the service, the food, the tea…everything was so tastefully done with such enormous attention to detail.

Teas we had: Parisian Creme and Peach Blossom

Service: The $63 setting with champagne.

Favorites: the chicken salad croissant sandwiches, the blueberry scones with fresh Devonshire cream, the cucumber sandwiches, and the eclair bites. Though, I will be honest, there was nothing that lacked flavor on our table - everything was truly delicious.

Our servers Roman and Ashley were attentive, with Roman truly going above and beyond with his customer care. Even the owner, Tina, stopped by to chat and see how we were doing. This is a place that truly cares about its customers and it was evident in the level of service we received this morning!

I feel bad leaving this review because I don’t want to hurt their 5 star score but I want to be real so they can potentially improve and stick around. I love going to tea houses and was excited when this one opened. The overall ambiance was beautiful and classy. The staff was on point and polite. The tea was even good but where it went south for me were the sandwiches. It seemed like they really cheaped out on the sandwiches. The bread wasn’t the best quality . The chicken was canned, I could barely tell if it was tuna or chicken. It was also very bland, no flavor. I saw no pepper, walnut, celery or grapes in the chicken salad sandwich. It was just mayo from what I could taste. The onion sandwich was also kind of gross and weird. The only one I liked was the cucumber sandwich and I make a better one at home.
