I just had lunch here. I am a fan! I had the "Sottomarino" which is Italian for "submarine". It's SO GOOD. I am already craving it again and I just left. There is the perfect amount of meat and cheese and peppers and mayo & vinegar! YUM. drool They have high-quality meats too. (Big difference in quality than one of the chain places.) My boyfriend got the Chicken Sriracha (sp?) sandwich. He loved it! I took a bite and it's the perfect amount of spicy. Oh, and I also got a San Pellegrino "Blood Orange". Delish! It's hard to come by a really good, family-owned deli with quality meats and yummy goodies. I'm so glad I found this place and I will definitely be back. If you're craving a real Italian deli type sandwich in the Bay...

I hate to be harsh but this is quite possibly the worst Italian delicatessen I've ever been to. I gave this place 3 chances the last couple of years and 3 swings and a miss ! Bland, bland and bland. Even their prosciutto was tasteless. It's supposed to be a little salty and it wasn't even close. Being Italian and born and raised in San Francisco I was spoiled with great Italian delis growing up, Lucca's, Stangelinis, Armaninos and most of the ones in North Beach. Hopefully sometime soon a traditional Italian delicatessen will finally make it's way up here. Sorry again but if you think this is a good Italian deli sad to say you've never experienced a real one. Sorry for...

From the moment you step into La Borgata, you're transported to a cozy street in Rome, with its genuine Italian atmosphere that exudes authenticity. But what truly sets this deli apart is its outstanding selection of delicious beers – a surprise treat to accompany the traditional deli offerings. And let's talk about those sandwiches; meticulously crafted with the freshest of ingredients, they are a symphony of flavors that delight the palate. Each bite speaks to the dedication and passion of the craftsmen behind the counter. If you're yearning for a slice of Italy with an impeccable sandwich in hand, La Borgata is your destination. Highly...

I came here La Borgata Italian Deli to meet a friend on a Friday around 3pm. This Italian deli is a great place to get a cup of coffee, Italian sandwich or a pastry. Employees are all super nice and helpful. The vibe is a good small European cafe feel with nice decor. There were plenty of people in and out and people meeting for a cup of coffee and chit chatting. Seems like lots of locals come here to meet friend and have a nice conversation. I have the Sottomarino Sandwich (#4) which was very tasty. The bun was soft and not chewy. Will definitely be back again and bring the family for a little taste of Italy.
