Updated visit 5/11/2024 Server: Antonio ( I think it is his name) okay server. Table for 2- we ordered 2 Chicken Piccata Dinners. The Chicken Piccata was good ( see photo). I would have liked more cappers. We also ordered an appetizer, the meatballs (see photo). Now for the dinner to-go Shrimp Scampi, which was a terrible choice because it would have gone back to the kitchen. The shrimp still had its poop sac attached, which was so disgusting and disappointing, and I ordered extra shrimp for the meal for my son at home. My son was so disappointed. We can not recommend the shrimp after seeing the poop.
I was not at all impressed with the sloppy presentation of the Tiramisu, which was mostly custard, and the lady finger did not look to be saturated in coffee. It did not have a coffee taste. Unfortunately, when you have tasted a proper fresh Tiramisu, all will pale in comparison.
I thought I would not return again, but I figured I would try again with a different dish.
Never again. I tried, but after the Shrimp Scampi poop sac, especially with seafood, I could not see what would bring me back for another meal.
Our server was nice, and so was the lady who stopped at our table checking on us. We picked up dinner. Ordered lasagna and 2 large pizzas. The lasagna is too spicy, which makes it not an enjoyable meal. I am so disappointed and threw 3/4 of it away. The pizza was fine but will not return or order...
Read moreFunny story, so my family and I have been coming here since I was young. So safe to say its the family's favorite pizza joint. So I came in on Sunday to pick up (no biggie was almost 100°) but so anywho, I get there an employee was in the side hallway (cleaning or whatever) so I walk in and before I get to the register (I'm about 7-10 feet away) I'm on the phone with my mom cause I forgot to ask her what type of salad dressing. I make it quick because I know it's rude to be up at the register while on th e phone. So pretty much this was the convo. "Mom, ranch, thousandbor Italian? I forgot to ask you" (M) whichever.. ranch" (me) " ok, I'm bout to pay, ok bye" "Okay. Bye". So I walk up to the register. Tell the employee "Hi, I'm here to pick up for " employee "I'M SORRY, UNDER WHAT NAME?" *yelling softly "" "OK, FOR "__?" "Yes" "OK, THAT WAS A MEDIUM PIZZA, HALF HAWAIIAN AND HALF COMBINATION?" "....yes, please" "WAS THERE ANYTHING ELSE?" "Oh and a family salad" turning around looking at the cooks/chefs* "OK CAN I GET THIS STARTED?" "?? You mean it's not even started??!" "NO, YEAH IT IS, I WAS REFERRING TO THE SALAD". "oh, ... ok". "THAT'LL BE 33.00". I give him 40.00. He gives my change back. And that was my outing to Pietros No. 2
btw; Too pricy and slightly rude...
Read moreTeresa is a lovely lady, she’s incredibly sweet, she wants to know who you are, is open and friendly, cares about her patrons, and again, adorable! The wait staff and kitchen staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, hard working, down to earth! The food is DELICIOUS! Large portions ,the pizza is great! Very well priced, fresh, and authentic! I’m a hard sell on Italian restaurants , especially when it comes to staples like pasta, and the sauces! I’m a Philadelphia native, Italian American, grew up in that business, a family of world class real deal chefs, and they work like dogs to keep their businesses competitive unique, so I dont sugar coat experiences especially with some of the half hearted complacent and flat out overblown lousy fare with uninterested staffers and entitled owners in vacaville! Pietros 2 is Worth a trip, easy to find, ample safe parking and nice area of Merchant St , beautiful space, cool old wine press in front lobby, open kitchen! My only suggestion is turn down the lights a bit in the main dining room! It’s nice to see it bustling with neighbors! Support these folks! MILLE GRAZIA TERESA!...
