El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Vallejo

I am so excited that El Pollo Loco is finally here in Vallejo! EPL was my first job as a teenager and I have always loved their emphasis on outstanding and world-class customer services. My visit here on 03/16 did not fall short of that mission. My cashier was very kind and professional. She was new and just getting the hang of how to place orders, but she ultimately executed well.

Now the food is just so damn delicious! If I could afford it, I’d eat here every day lol. I ordered a 16 piece family meal with Mac and cheese, coleslaw and a loco side salad. The Mac and cheese here at EPL is quite underrated. It’s cheesy, and delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection. It was so juicy and fresh.

The interior design is impeccable. It’s very clean, sleek and new. There were plenty of tables and chairs. I did notice that there was no place in sight for their famous “Salsa Bar.” I wonder if they’re holding off on that because of COVID, or if it’s a sign that their Salsa Bar is not coming back. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I look forward to becoming a frequent flyer here at this franchise. I hope that management keeps it up and keeps motivating their ESSENTIAL staff to providing world class customer service! Great job and...

I love el pollo collo, but some of the staff in Vallejo are very poorly trained with zero customer service. I work at Kaiser Hospital and they always messed up my drive through orders. Today, during my lunch break I went there and placed 2 orders, and (Alicia) left out an entire order completely. I reaslized the missing order when I get back to the hospital, and I had to drive back causing me to miss my entire lunch break. They never even apologized for their mistakes or say I’m sorry. She just said “I’m human”, and this is the 4th time that I have paid for orders that I didn’t receive. She started arguing with me instead of apologize, and keep saying “bye”. Extremely ghetto. the cashier was slow, and when I requested a rag with disinfectant to clean one of the dirty tables, she responded that the rags were only for the kitchen area.
