My dining experience is limited to about half a dozen dishes. I have a couple favorites, a few decent and a couple not worth trying.
Let's start off with my favorites. The garlic sauce wings are fantastic. Crunchy, cooked in a sticky gooey sauce that is sweet and slightly spicy. I come here every so often for the wings alone. They are seriously that GOOD.
I tried the tomato and egg soup yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised. It was full of egg and fresh vegetables. Chunks of tomato, al dente squash, large slices of mushrooms, and green onions. Not the bland tell-tale mix of frozen vegetables consisting of peas and cubed carrots that I've encountered at some other restaurants.
The chicken congee is good and I particularly enjoy it when not feeling well. It's a childhood comfort food for me. Filling, warms you up on a cold day, and just enough flavor. The garlic rice makes a great staple and a nice change from steamed rice. The pork tocino lunch special is decent as well. It comes with a fried egg, garlic rice, and tomato.
The pancit bihon unfortunately I didn't like at all. I took a few bites then took the rest home. Tried it again the next day and ended up tossing the entire dish. Last of all there are several grades of rice and it makes a huge difference when a restaurant uses a lower grade of rice. I'm not crazy about their steamed rice and will order it only if the dish I'm having is better with plain rice.
The restaurant itself is very basic. The staff, some are nicer and more attentive than others. The garlic sauce wings are 5 stars. The tomato and egg soup 4 stars. The other dishes I would give a 3-3.5 except for the one I didn't enjoy at...
Read moreI don't know what has happened to this place. We ordered pickup here pretty often but it has changed for the BAD. In the last 3 months we have pickup up and the food was not right. I don't know if there is new owners or if it's new Cooks but it's bad. We ordered a garlic Chicken dish that we never tried and we didn't like it. That's okay we are not going to like every. Our last pickup we ordered hunan beef pretty streight forward comon order. We did not get hunan beef. We got the exact same dish as the garlic Chicken we ordered the previous time except with beef. A strange almost sweet and sour dish. The chicken wings are also a lot more oily. The wings were our favorite. I think when the cook doesn't know what something is he just throws batter on the meat and sweet and sour sauce on it. We are pretty sad about the recent change and will no longer be...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the restaurant's name, they aren't 3 star! They should've been 5 star!
This is a Chinese restaurant with some popular Filipino dishes in the menu. It is located in a plaza with various establishments. Excellent customer service, very good food, priced reasonably. Very clean inside and the ambiance wih plenty of Chinese decors everywhere.
The chicken wings is so crunchy saucy and delicious. I will get that again on my next visit. The salt and pepper prawns are also very good, perfectly seasoned and fried. 10 minutes wait time for a to go order in a late night 1 hour before closing time.
