Food is pretty good, but I was put off by the length of time to be seated (place is SUPER small, with limited seating), and the multitude of signs indicating in large print all through the restaurant saying "NO substitutions allowed", and "Don't be surprised when the price is different than what's printed if you deviate from the menu". I have no problem paying extra for my order substitutions...but I don't want my eating establishment telling me "No substitutions" then stating sarcastically, don't be surprised when the price is higher if you change menu items". Restaurants are in a food SERVICE industry, and the signs everywhere in large print and highlighted, is not sending a friendly message. I'd rather frequent an establishment that'll take my substitutions, then charge me extra accordingly...no need to adversely diminish my dining experience with such insulting signage. I hate to say it...but that alone is enough for me not to return again...especially when there are so many other eating establishments that will not impose stringent rules regarding simple...

I had the immense pleasure of meeting our extraordinary waitress, Linda, whose exceptional service went far beyond the ordinary. She not only catered to my dining needs but also performed an act of kindness that restored my faith in humanity. Witnessing her generosity, she offered free coffee and some change to a mentally ill person, demonstrating compassion and empathy that truly touched my heart.

As for my order, I couldn't resist trying the corned beef hash with eggs and potatoes. Upon opening the to go box in my truck, I was greeted by an enticing aroma that promised a delightful culinary experience. Each bite was a harmonious blend of tender corned beef, perfectly cooked eggs, and golden-brown potatoes, creating a symphony of flavors and textures that danced on my palate. It was more than just a meal; it was a gastronomic delight that left me in awe. What a truly delicious dish, made even more memorable by Linda's exceptional service and the kindness she...

A True Hidden Gem for Breakfast Lovers! with friendly customer service and grateful owner

Joy of Eating in Vallejo is hands down one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever visited. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, friendly service and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home.

The food is absolutely fantastic—everything tastes homemade and full of flavor. I had the [insert your favorite dish here, e.g., “Country Benedict with crispy hash browns”], and it was cooked to perfection. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the coffee keeps flowing.

You can tell this place is loved by locals, and for good reason. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty or just a classic eggs-and-toast combo, Joy of Eating delivers every time. I’ll definitely be coming back—and...

Nice, quiet ambiance. There was only one waitress on duty. She answered the phones, seated guests, took orders, served food, and helped a lost insta cart driver trying to pick up at the wrong restaurant. She did all this with a smile and great, friendly customer service. The joy omlet was very tasty with large portions. The homemade bread was served hot and fresh with a dollip of melting butter on top, delicious! The hot chocolate with whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate syrup was a special sweet treat. The potatoes had a nice flavor. The waitress recommended a special hot sauce for the potatoes which was really good. Everything was great. The bathroom was clean and in order. There is plenty of free parking in the side parking lot or on the street. Will be back. Highly recommend to anyone, especially breakfast lovers.

**Review for Good Day Cafe, Vallejo, CA:** I had a truly disappointing experience at Good Day Cafe on Springs Road. This morning, I called to let them know that my order was incorrect, and instead of receiving an apology or acknowledgment of the mistake, the server hung up on me after getting offended. I ordered a sausage patty, which is clearly listed on their menu, only to find out they don’t even offer it. To make matters worse, the home fries I received were more like unseasoned scallops—absolutely tasteless! The lack of flavor and the poor customer service left a bad impression. For a breakfast spot in Vallejo, I expected much better. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of accountability and care for customer satisfaction. I won’t be returning anytime soon. Very disappointing!
