We stayed at bay breeze for 2 weeks and paid for 4 weeks. Had to pay full rent to "hold the spot" until we arrived. When we made the reservation we were told that's how it is in California. -it definitely is not- We moved here from Texas for work. While we were residents we followed the rules and were respectful to our neighbors. We couldnt straighten out or get level because there was another rv and his 2 cars right in front of our site. Their website says they can accommodate 40ft RVs, MAYBE in one site. The rest of the park you better be pretty close to 20ft overall to even try to finagle in and fit properly. On top of that you probably wont be able to open your slide all the way. If I had taken a second to think and use common sense I would not have stayed here, and I would not have lost money, and we would've found a better place first. But we didnt and you cant go back in time.
Pros -full hook ups (electric is not included) convenient to interstate other residents are very friendly on site staff is somewhat helpful relativity clean laundry machines most of the sites appear to be level (except for ours)
Cons the park is a giant litter box for the the neighborhood cats. there are multiple homeless camps around the park the park is 20yrds from the interstate, your camper will shake from traffic over-priced for what you are getting in return there is trash everywhere (it blows off the highway) you have to submit a application and sign a whole rental agreement. Its a basic parking lot. No space...
Read moreI lived here for one month. The grounds keeper was nice and runs a tight ship. However, its a very loud spot as it's right next to I-80. There are homeless encampments right next to the park, so I can't say its a very nice area. But close by are beautiful hiking trails, shops, etc. There is a washer dryer (I never used them so I don't know how well they work) and a mail box. The spots are mostly paved or gravel, no greenery and there is quite a bit of trash accumulated by the fence. My spot had enough room to fit my small trailer and my Chevy Silverado, although it was a tight squeeze. I had no problems with electrical (you call seperate and set it up with PGE, there was a 30AMP and 50AMP hookup). I was in a spot closest to the entrance of the park and there were frequently scuffles happening. My car window had a rock thrown through it while it was parked inside the park, the manager claimed they couldn't see anything on the cameras. Though the property manager compensated me for part of the cost of the window. The residents are nice but very quiet, I didn't see hardly anyone my time there. The rent is on par for the area, but I think there are better parks nearby at a cheaper or the same price. If you stay here I would highly recommend, month-to-month lease, so you can see what its like before...
Read moreI’m a young female traveler and I felt very safe and at home at this park! The property manager Norman is great and communicated with me very well. The grounds keeper is very nice too. He helped me back into my spot and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay (I stayed 7 nights).
Picture attached is from Glen Cove. It’s a cute trail that my neighbor showed me less than 10 mins from the RV park.
Norman was an amazing tour guide as well! He called and told me all sorts of things that I MUST try while in town and they were all great!!
Things to note: Yes, the community OUTSIDE the property isn’t great (trash and the homeless), but for it being such a reasonable price AND within an hour to great San Fran attractions, I was happy. Norman keeps his tenants happy and they respect the park and their neighbors. There wasn’t much noise, even tho it’s next to the highway, which I was surprised about. I was toward the back of the park tho, so this could be why. Also, there are multiple cats outside (all very nice and obviously cared for), so if you have a dog this may affect your stay.
In all, I would recommend this site AND I would stay here again...
