Soultran's Seafood — Restaurant in Vallejo

They have the absolute freshest seafood in the whole bay area. They carry almost anything you want like Catfish , perch , chicken wings, chicken, crab {already cleaned}, lobster, and more. You can purchase it to take home and cook yourself or whatever you buy they will cook it for you, and unlike most sea food markets the fish is already cleaned cut and ready to go. They sell Alligator and craw fish tails already prepackaged. The store is also full of a variety of seasonings, beans and vegetables . The customer service is awesome too even though a lot of their customers are low income they still treat them with respect and dignity this is not always common when you see businesses that set up shop in communities where some of if not most of the customers will be low income. This store is a real Gem and a real treasure to the community someone brought me to this store over 20 plus years ago and I am still coming to this day. I have moved a little farther away than I used to be but I will still travel sometimes about two hours just to shop here and I hope they continue to be around for many more...

It's been six years and they are just as amazing as they were in the past and then some! There are a young group of guys running the place now, but they're fabulous with great attitudes and smiles. The new guy erred, but they kindly taught him, without rudeness or a scene, whispering and showing him, and giving a pat on the back. Great customer service and it seems a great place to work. The selection of seafood is outstanding! BE SURE YOU TRY THE FRIED CORN ON THE COB! Its FANTABULOUS!!! But what there isn't? I've tried most everything and I haven't been disappointed yet! The okra is was crunchy, with a softer center that wasn't mushy. It was incredible! The salmon was cooked perfection and OMG....soooo delicious! The store itself is very good. They have a great selection of seafood, chicken, pork, and accompanying fruits like lemons and limes. They offer raw selections and a cooked menu that you can select from simultaneously. Also, they have a whole wall of shelves that offer seasonings, cooking oils, kinds of butter, ghee, and other additions that you may need to make incredible dishes at home. The staff and their customer service is satisfactory across the board. They acknowledge patrons, take orders efficiently and courteously, and work efficiently on the orders. The main issue with the location is exactly that, the location. The parking is rough and limited and the part of the city that the store is in is even rougher.
