CHAPARRITAS — Restaurant in Valparaiso

My credentials for this review are that I have lived in Valpo for over 20 years and have eaten at almost every single restaurant in this city. This is the best restaurant I’ve had food from ever in this town. There’s a lot of Mexican restaurants in Valparaiso but none are better than this. The food has a certain aura to it. The regular salsa you get with the chips is the most flavorful salsa I have ever had. I got the asada burrito and it was huge for only about $9. The staff is super nice and from the taste of the food you can tell they care a lot about what they’re making. I have never willingly written a google review in my life but this food was so good I had to. Don’t waste your time with downtown restaurants like Stacks and just go here instead. You’ll save so much money and get a way better...

Every time I go in my main man Gus slings me a place not food; close my eyes and let every bite take me away to a land I’ve never seen. After being in Houston and southern Texas I have missed every food truck, restaurant, and customers home cooked meals. The food takes me right back and beyond. Go in today, pick what you want, and ask them what you should get as a filing. Pricing is good and he uses the recipes he grew up eating. Read the last paragraph before readibg my first inital review. Not sure why they have 5 stars. I'm a white American who ordered 3 carnita tacos plus an extra one. They tried to sell me into another taco dinner that was already prepared. And they didn't even prepare my taco. It's my tortillas, carnitas, and veggies all separate on the side. So I have to build my own taco.
