First we download the app so we would know what we would want. It was my husby, myself and our 9yo. They offer a couple family style meals! They vary in amount of food and prices and you can add side salad and chicken breast and/or meatballs if you would like. We decided to go with the family size sampler. It was $32. We took our number and went to our seat and the manager came out and told us that they normally don't do dine in, they've only had carryout and it's a new menu item. But he wanted to accommodate us as best as he could. He brought out plain spaghetti noodles and a very large to go bowl. Plain penne pasta in the same size bowl, and fettuccine noodles in the same size bowl. I would say it was a full pound each! Then he brought out a marinara sauce, meat sauce, alfredo sauce and a side of 10 meatballs. Then he brought out 16 breadsticks and a tray of lasagna. He did not have a way to give us the half gallon of choice of lemonade, sweet tea or unsweet tea since when it's carryout it is sent in a bag, so he gave us three extra large cups so that we could refill them as we wanted to. We could use spaghetti noodles and the Alfredo sauce if we wanted. We could use any sauce on any of the noodles that we wanted. My daughter ate meatballs separately from her different pastas. We had no clue that it was going to be that much food! We really thought it was going to be a larger size of the normal sampler platter. As I said there were also side things that we could add such as chicken breast for a few dollars more. You could add family style Caesar salad or garden salad for a few dollars more. You could also add family size dessert as well. All in all we spent $32 and tax and we left the tip. We packed up the rest of the leftovers, and there were a ton of leftovers, and our three adult children that still live at home took two days to eat the rest of the food. Fazoli's even gave us more breadsticks to take home! We were also able to refill our drinks when it was only going to be a half gallon had we had takeout. It would have easily fed six adults without adding any sides. I really wish I would have taken pictures at the time but I had left my phone in the car and it was pouring down rain. :-( Bonus: since I downloaded the app, about 25 minutes into our meal they sent us a coupon for free stuffed pepperoni breadsticks with marinara sauce. Of course I didn't go and get them since we had so many leftovers. But I am very excited to go back and try those! They do table service now and they have glass plates. They have real silverware and they bring breadsticks around the same as if you were at Olive garden but at a much cheaper price. They also have lunch items on their menu for $5 and under. You can absolutely not go wrong with their menu. There are few carb friendly options. A side salad and add chicken breast. It would definitely be a cheat day if you are on...
Read moreMy granddaughter suggested "FAZOLI'S" when we were passing through Valparaiso Indiana. I had never seen an Italian fast food restaurant before and I had my doubts. WOW! Was I ever surprised! I chose the "Baked Chicken Parmesano" and it was fabulous! Served on a bed of spaghetti, the three pieces of cheese covered, breaded chicken were tender and juicy. The sauce had nice pieces of tomato and was seasoned very well. It was perfect to my taste. My daughter had the "Baked Lasagna" that she could not finish in the single sitting while my granddaughter enjoyed the "Fetachini Alfredo". Each meal included two bread sticks that were hot, soft and buttery. I highly recommend you give "Fazoli's" a try. We ordered dinner through the drive-thru and we had our hot meals in hand in under five minutes. Both of our "Baked" dinners came with a card underneath and we were glad for it. The cards had a reflective side and protected our hands from the heat of the dinner tray and allowed us to open the serving tray and allow the food to cool off enough for us to enjoy. Even the plasticware, knife and fork, were well made and designed to function properly with the food and serving tray. I understand that may sound silly, but if you've even struggled to cut your food without destroying the serving tray it comes in, with poor utensils, you know how it can ruin the chance to enjoy your meal. "Fazoli's" clearly takes this seriously and chose well made plasticware that paired very well with the heavy guage aluminum foil serving trays. This was a treat and I am glad we desided to give "Fazoli's" a try. The drive-thru staff and the servers were polite, courteous and seemed eager to ensure we had everything we needed. Although we chose to eat in the car, I did go inside to use the restroom that I found clean, well lit and stocked with all the needed essentials. My daughter also took advantage of the facilities and said she found the ladiesroom as clean and well stocked as I found the mensroom. She also noted that a hand sanitizer station was on the wall just outside the restrooms. I think "Fazoli's" really earned the five star review I've given and I believe you would agree that the restaurant, taken as a whole, entirely...
Read moreI grew up with Fazolis in Schererville IN but they permanently closed a long time ago but then 5yrs ago we seen the Valparaiso IN restaurant and I well was excited for me but also now my son can grow up on it too but tonight was absolutely insane and a God awful experience! We went on Uber to order our Fazolis meal and Uber asked for the card we used to have our 4 digit pin ready to say it to the Uber delivery driver which shocked me. So I canceled it within 1min of ordering bc I will NEVER hand that out so I called Fazolis because it said it's being made already but Uber's policy states you can cancel up until its delivered and I canceled it within 1-2min once the pin statement showed up. So I called Fazolis 1st and I wish I knew her name(it was at 7:45pm on April 29th, 2023) she said call Uber since our meal was all done and ask them about the whole pin ordeal and then call her back. I have Screenshots of Uber saying no pin is EVER required and sorry for the inconvenience but we can't get a driver but we're going to keep your money but 3-5 business days we will refund you like how am I supposedto buy food if u won't just debit it back...so I called her back and let's just say my faith in humanity once again happened so to that amazing woman hopefully see this, my family and I appreciate all you did to help us and wish there were more people like you in this world!! I hope your boss sees this as well and not only get praised/gratitude but a little raise or even gift because you handled yourself not only professionally but I was treated like a human being who had a God awful predicament with Uber. Thank you so much! Amy P.S. Also the food was phenomenal lol whoops that would be good to let others know. Sorry...
