This place is Fire! The atmosphere has a modern twist to the classic 70's style restaurant, and I enjoyed it. The place fits right in and yet still stands out with how relaxing and comfortable the setting is. The subtle incandescent lighting, the retro color scheme, and the bar all enhance the feel of a nice restaurant as it should. Nothing in this place was overbearing. It’s obvious there was a lot of effort put into what they wanted the restaurant to be, and I compliment the owner on a job well done. Classic photos and eye-catching memorabilia decorate the walls. This place takes you back for a split second and it’s not one bit overwhelming. My family and I had a great time and good food!
We decided to choose an assortment of different foods, Buffalo fries, meatballs, Caesar salads, a few pizzas, and wings. All well prepped and Hot which can be a struggle to do when you just open. When served, the display of food wasn't sloppy or relatively large in portion, just enough. Collectively we would say nothing was disappointing. There is plenty to choose from, not just pizza and yes, the first bite of pizza was fire. With a lot of great quality pizza in NWI you never know what to expect. The mozzarella cheese pizza and the Lenny’s pizza are a thumbs up. If you’re open to trying the restaurant, be open to how different the pizza is from anything else in the area. I’m pretty sure it’s the sauce or the light crisp crust, both well created. First bite my wife and I looked at one another and stated, “this is good pizza”. We agreed the service wasn’t bad. Opening weekend, you would expect way overbearing service, but they were attentive. Kept my families’ drinks flowing and let us breathe while we tried the food which we appreciated.
If you enjoy quality pizza and a decent atmosphere Lenny’s, has it. Hands down, one of the best unique pizza places we have been to in NWI. We are not from the area and yes, we will be coming back soon to enjoy the lovely Bar and more...

First impression of Lenny’s Pizza? Cozy and inviting. The restaurant has both a bar area and a dining space, offering a great atmosphere for any type of visit. What really stands out is their coal-fired pies.
I went with the Lenny’s Pie, and it was fantastic. The sweet and spicy combination hit all the right notes, and the crust? Perfectly cooked with a great undercarriage—just enough char for that signature coal-fired taste. The Supreme pie was just as impressive—cheesy goodness with a flawless crust that held up without a flop, and that slight char added an extra layer of flavor that made it all come together perfectly.
I paired my pizza with a Bell’s Brown Ale, which was great. However, it could’ve been colder coming out of the tap—though, in fairness, it was 2° outside, so I probably should’ve just stuck my beer outside to cool it down for that frosty, refreshing taste.
Lenny’s offers about 20 beers on draft, plus a selection of domestic beers in cans and bottles, red and white wine, and cocktails. The variety is solid, so there’s something for everyone.
Service was great, and the restaurant maintained a clean environment, including spotless restrooms. Oh, and I have to mention the napkin game—A+.
Overall, Lenny’s is a great spot if you’re in the mood for Newark-style, coal-fired pizza with excellent beer and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in...
Read moreWe love Lenny’s and have eaten here several times since their opening a month ago. I love the extra thin crust that really lets the toppings steal the show. The pizzas are the perfect size to share with someone with some wings or a salad, or keep all to yourself. We’ve had the chicken pesto pizza, the white pizza, and the Lenny’s pizza and all have been superb.
The Nashville hot wings are dry rub and will definitely bring a tear to your eye, but oh so good!
My favorite salad has been the beet salad.
Personally we try to support local small business whenever we can. Lenny’s is what you think of when someone says “family business” and we have seen several family members there every time, covering the hostess station, and in the kitchen making pizzas, but they are never too busy to welcome their guests. We also like the vibe of the restaurant - old school type of pizza place, comfortable and a lot of family memories decorate the walls. We like to sit at the bar where we have met old friends and made some new acquaintances.
