Let me tell you the excitement my bf & I had the day we went to the gym & saw the boba tree sign 2 shops down! We eagerly waited & slowly saw everything come together. Then finally they opened!
We went on opening day & of course there was a line out the door! But they moved through it quickly. We got the taro & sweet cream soft serve, taro berry smoothie with egg pudding & strawberry mango smoothie with boba. I guess the soft serve machine was working hard that day, so there was a wait, but no big deal. The drinks were really good, you could tell it was made with real fruits. Our soft serve ended up being all taro, but it was Nice & creamy perfect texture.
We loved it so much, we went back 2 days later. This time we got coconut with egg pudding & orange sunset with boba. I thought the orange one would be more tart & fruity, but it was more creamy like coconut. I still liked it though. Both our drinks tasted kinda similar, mine just had a orange flavor. Still delicious! Will definitely be back...
Read moreI go to the boba tree location on fourth plain all the time and I love the boba creations they have. I was in the area and decided to try out the salmon creek location and was a bit disappointed. We also wanted to try the matcha or banana soft serve we saw on Instagram, but they had already changed the flavors of soft serve. We got boba drinks instead. I got a pink lychee and my friend got a banana matcha. The pink lychee flavor was okay, and there were some hard chunks in my drink that weren't boba or ice. The bobas were the right texture but had no flavor or sweetness, and were just bland. My friend's banana matcha was almost disgusting. The banana flavor was a fresh banana which is fine, but the banana was not ripe, so it was kind of bitter and gross, and did not pair well with the slight matcha flavor. It just tasted like bitter banana water. I was definitely disappointed in the boba drinks I got, and probably will stick to the fourth plain...

As a boba snob, the tea was solid - I got jasmine at 50% sweet and it leaned toward the sweet side. The tea was very aromatic which was nice. Definitely wasnât the artificial powder mix or syrups some places have but a bit lower tea quality compared to some of my favorite tea places in Seattle. Iâll definitely come back next time Iâm in the area for the tea though :)
They didnât have it listed on the menu, but they had a photo of soft serve so I asked about it. We got matcha & vanilla swirl in a cup with strawberry sauce on top. It was amazing 10/10 would...
