●●●●●Killa Gorilla Burger●●●●● Walking into the mini mart at the Shell station with the greasy smell of fried jojos coupled along with the pungent odor of freshly pumped gas had me initially question my decision to try Gorilla Burger. I placed the order for a bacon cheeseburger at the counter at the back of the mini mart . Everything on it, including the "secret sauce." I spent about 10 minutes wandering the aisles in the Shell station mini mart waiting for my order. They called my name, and I picked up the brown sack, and the heft surprised me. Since there was no room at the 1 tiny mini mart table , I took the sack out to the car , popped the tailgate, and called it a sunny day picnic. I pulled the foil wrapped package out of the bag and unwrapped what was definitely one of the largest 10 dollar burgers I had ever seen. The Monster patty was layered with bacon, lettuce, tomato 🍅 , melted cheese, and slathered with their secret sauce. The Goriila Grill bacon cheeseburger 🍔 was super juicy and delicious. Expertly cooked and big enough to take a third home for a quick zap in the microwave later on. ☆☆☆GG hack- ask for extra napkins, you'll need them...... in a good way 😁 Handicap ♿️ doable and recommended Final take.....do yourself a favor, if you like burgers, overlook the mini mart vibe and trust the reviews. You won't be sorry. Highly...
Read moreWOW!! Just GO, don’t question it. All the other reviewers were right. Say goodbye to eating at other major drive thru fast food chains. They are located inside the Minit market convenience store with lots of parking around back.
Expect messiness galore. There’s not much indoor seating unfortunately but don’t fear as the drive to the nearest park, Jaggy Road Park, is just right around the corner and there are picnic tables. There is a slight wait for your order to be made, but sooo worth it as it’s made fresh, burger and the fries.
Make sure to upgrade to the combo. The fries are perfection as they are crispy, well seasoned, not overly salty and made in fresh oil and huge portion with a medium/large fountain drink that you can pick from the machine. Two people can literally share the combo if you’re looking to save some $$.
Shoutout to the friendly staff as well. Keep up the great work!
Please open on weekends and have longer...
Read moreIt’s a hit or miss. Basically depends on who is cooking/preparing your food but then again; it’s a gas station... although they say “gourmet” I’m pretty sure those burger patty’s come frozen. The chicken strips used to be so much better too but they’re still delicious; with lots of new dipping sauces to choose from.
Update after 6 years:
They took away the Gorilla Burger (best deal and burger on the menu), and they smash their patties now. Felt like I had covid all over again bc my mushroom Swiss was tasteless—no seasoning. I used the love their crinkle fries but the texture was grainy, and the gal you prepared my order under-cooked them.
Nothing special here, just gas station food cooked by underpaid employees using low quality products while charging an arm and a leg to increase their margins. Better off getting a real burger from Crave. I am disappointed with my meal…will probably wait another 6 years before I come back for a...
