Visited with a bunch of friends to try something new from our usual brunch spot. This was the first and last time we will be eating here. The first couple of dishes came out, and those who had them enjoyed them, however it took another 10 minutes for everyone else at the table to get their food, leaving us waiting while others ate so their food wouldn't get cold. Once the second round of dishes arrived, we were met with nothing but disappointment. Not only was my steak completely over cooked and dry, it was only about the size of my wallet compared to the amount of breading on the outside. Felt like a very unfair amount of steak for the $17 I paid, especially when compared to multiple other locations in the same area. One of my friends got the omelette, which was extremely bland and also had a LARGE piece of plastic inside of it. When this was brought up with the manager, they did not seem to care much and only offered to comp half of the meal when it had barely been touched. That friend left still feeling hungry. Our waitress was very nice, but unfortunately that does not make up for the poor state of the food coming out of the kitchen, horrid lack of consistency, and the seeming disregard of customer sentiment from management. We will not be returning.

Wonderful diner! First and foremost they proudly add meals on wheels to their signage which is terrific, wonderful cause. Second, while the diner is small-ish it didnt seem to be overly busy even on a Saturday. Maybe breakfast is different? Staff was attentive and nice. The food was terrific, I had french toast which they use brioche for and it was soft and fluffy and buttery with some powdered sugar. By itself it tasted amazing and wasnt overly filling. I appreciated the portion size. Came with some fresh fruit, strawberry, blueberry, and orange which actually tasted fresh. My GF had an omelette with toast and hash browns. The eggs were light and fluffy and cooked well, not soggy at all. Hash browns were well cooked and crispy which is how they should be and was seasoned nicely. Overall food was delicious. Best part was it didnt break the bank, considering how expensive eating out is nowadays both dishes came to a little more than $22 which imo is a steal especially for the quality of food. My recommendation is it's worth the wait if you do need to. P.S. notice most of the patrons were elderly and overheard pleasant conversations about the diner and their repeat business. May have found a little gem!

Three months ago my husband and guests were taken aback by the unexpected quality and great service of this restaurant. Today he wanted to share a similar experience with his family. The atmosphere is clean and fresh. A take on "vintage diner" yet presented in a modern way. The servers were friendly. The menu is pretty expected yet with a local ingredients twist. My son loved the standard eggs/potatoes/pancake option. The side of purple grapes was delicious! Also noted the paper straw in his cold drink. My husband was quite disappointed with his avocado toast selection as he was expecting what he received three months ago but unfortunately the avocado mash with lime and tomatoes was changed to just avocado. As for me, I ordered the one thing I could find on the menu that seemed most nutrient-dense and gluten free; eggs Benedict. Their version is served with spinach on portobello mushroom. I know mushrooms can be hard to cook right and I cannot to say they got it right. It was watery and tough. Also, the coffee was not good enough naked and they do not have paleo-friendly options available (heavy cream). I do love that the "tip" goes to meals-on-wheels. May give them another chance in the future.

AMAZING!!!! This restaurant went above and beyond!!! There head chef or kitchen manager, whichever it is, is an amazing leader and cook and you can observe her at work if you sit at the bar through the serving window. The cooks all seem to be on point and I hardly had to wait but 5 min for my meal. The setting and ambiance are that of an old style country diner and it was pretty quite when I went in there. You can hear the work in the kitchen, like the chef calling out orders and the expo confirming, it was like being at a high end gourmet restaurant with an open kitchen with how much they interact with each other. My food was ON POINT!!! I ordered the crab cake Benedict, I consider myself a bit of a crab cake expert, and they were absolute FIRE🔥🔥🔥!! The crab cakes themselves were sooooo good but the hollandaise sauce was the best I've ever tried I think!! Came with a delicious side of perfectly cooked asparagus as well and some delicious country style Tate's. There menu is constantly changing just like at a high end gourmet restaurant, which is fun in my opinion, and they ALWAYS have something that sounds amazing to me. If you haven't checked this place out I highly recommend it and I will definitely be going back there. I enjoy sitting at the bar because I like to watch the kitchen staff and listen to them firing off orders like pros. The wait staff was VERY kind and expeditious, and they checked on me at all the right times to make sure I was pleased with everything.

I also forgot to add that this is a Meals On Wheels restaurant, one of the first of it's kind, so in that respect the money that is earned is turned back to the community to help the elderly and those in need who can't necessarily cook for themselves!!! How awesome is that?! The servers don't accept gratuity because they are paid a living wage, which is once again "amazing", and instead your proceeds will go towards helping those who are in need!!! So you can get an amazing meal and help your fellow human beings at the...

Stopped in for breakfast over the weekend. Their system was down, which meant they had to do everything by hand and it caused service to be incredibly slow. Our waitress was very nice and apologized, but it did seem like everything took way longer than necessary for just having to hand-write things.

Pros: the biscuits are amazing and it's well- worth stopping in for these alone. This diner has a great mission and an old-school feel. The pepper comes out of the shakers easily. Coffee is decent and the gravy on my husband's chicken fried steak was pretty good.

Cons: the food is bland - we had to season everything pretty heavily. Perhaps because they cater to an older clientele who generally need to watch salt intake?? I got the veggie hash and the veggies were cut way too big so they didn't cook all the way through or get a chance to caramelize.

We also had a weird experience in which my husband tried to order eggs Benedict and the waitress told him they were out. Just "I'm sorry, were out of eggs Benedict". No information on what component they were out of or suggestions for substitutions (if English muffins are gone, how about a biscuit... or the hollandaise is out and it will take x- minutes to make more...) 20 minutes later another customer ordered eggs Benedict and no one said anything. We watched their food come out and they were indeed served standard eggs Benedict.

Overall our experience was underwhelming but they were clearly having some issues so we will probably give them another try in the future. I only got one bite of my husband's biscuit so if nothing else I must go have...

I always do take out here and it’s never been an issue. However this time, these guys served me rotten eggs. I had been coming here for close to 2 years and they’ve had some ups and downs, but nothing you can’t fix with new cooks. Well a few months ago, I got rotten eggs with my country fried steak order and with my eggs and bacon meal. I called in to the restaurant, since I was already home with the food. I go here instead of Ihop or dennys because it’s better and local. Well this day idk what happened because Rick is usually on top of his customer service, but this day he literally told me “come back and I’ll make you new eggs” even when I refused and told him I was going to take him the food and ask for a refund. He was super annoyed that I wanted a refund and not more food. He actually even hung up the phone on me he got so upset. After my phone conversation I went back in person and gave him all the food down to the last crumb of toast, and I asked for my money back again. He still insisted on trying to make me more eggs and I said “no thanks”. Because a restaurant manager that can’t even check for freshness in his place’s EGGS, means he must’ve missed a lot more than that! Just for reference, EGGS last for weeks when refrigerated and even then, they take forever to get to that rotten, sour taste… unless they’ve been improperly refrigerated. So this is completely...
