The Human Bean — Restaurant in Vancouver

I simply ordered "a Grande iced dirty chai", and a few breakfast sandwiches. The barista said (with an attitude) " I don't know what that is?" I repeated my order and then she said "What's that? We aren't Starbucks" and rolled her eyes. I paused and realized she was being snarky and wanting me to repeat my order saying the word "medium" for the chai. As she stood there staring at me and waiting for me to say it, I decided to cancel my whole order and left. Getting treated like I'm a child and the overall energy from her was just unnecessary. I spend quite a bit there and find it very rude when instead she could've replied "medium, you got it" or "we have 12, 16 and 20 oz", etc. There was no reason for the attitude and response that she has no idea what a typical "Grande" size is. It was very hard to try again a few days later, after I cooled off. I pulled up to the window and got the same girl. She knew exactly who I was, and I kindly requested a different barista to serve me. She rolled her eyes and called for another girl to help me. I haven't been back since.All the rest of the girls are always so sweet and give wonderful service. I really enjoy my coffee black but sometimes (okay, I often) get my favorite flavor, Ameretto, from the Human Bean. My neice sent me a gift card for this place for Christmas and I am hooked on them. The young people that work here are so friendly and genuine and patient and helpful. They don't blast all kinds of music to the pitch that it's hard to give or take an order without repeating it over and over again. That is so annoying and one reason I quit going to a few others. The prices are great, the service is great, the flavors are consistent. I highly recommend that you try this fine coffee house if you are ever in the mood for a good cup of coffee and don't want to regret spending your hard earned money on a coffee that doesn't take like it's supposed to: So go try them and be sure to leave a tip. Everytime I come here some of the workers are not very friendly. This time we had two drinks and one was for with a birthday drink on the app and the other was paid with card. This was two different people ordering and I went to give them my stamp card and she said the stamp went on the app. I said oh well I am paying for mine and I dont have the app that is my sister's. And she said sorry it went on hers. I said well can you just punch my card because i am the one who bought my drink and she made a big deal about it and had to go in the computer.
